No. Despite the cheap (in relative terms compared to the usual rip off prices, still not exactly peanuts) prices it's still a fairly early round of the cup and the West Brom game would have put paid to any last minute rush. Most we could possibly have sold taking into account the West Brom result and performance is around 6k IMO. A good result against West Brom would have added maybe another 1500.

You are miles off the mark mate. Don't forget that all the tickets have gone to season ticket holders. How many were still in the queue when they sold out? Then you have the silver members who never got a sniff. That is before you get to all the non st holders who prob make up at least 50% of our away support. I think 8-9000 is a fair guess.

Not to mention any number of regular away fans (went to Gillingham this season and Cardiff away last season) - Platinum in our case who were swept away in the rush We were planning to book the tickets online on Sunday - but never got the chance - just didn't see it coming. Was out all day Saturday so got no sense of the stampede - damn! Give em a shout for us

There were still quite a few in the queue before the West Brom game when we were told they they had sold out and as has been said, don't forget the non season ticket holders and people that have to pick and chose which game they go to, this could have been a cheap option for them, 10'000 may be pushing it but I wouldn't be surprised if we had got close if the tickets were possible.
