I had a smile when I read that when the Gruinard was "delivered" to my Kindle on my bedside table by the time I woke up this morning, Mick! Isn't t'interweb a wonderful thingy for us silver surfers? ;D
Seriously, Just a few weeks ago, I would have never dreamed I would read an article like that. To be fair to Fergie (although it hurts to say it) no one has proved themselves better over the years, of successfully rebuilding his teams and I would not put it past him doing it again despite the bleeding of the club's capital to pay off the Glazers' debts.

I hear the disgusted rantings from many nearby keyboards as I sit in my Sussex home.

I nearly had a Kindle for Xmas off my lass, John, but decided to have a Breville Toaster instead. Young Sam and Tom have told me I can borrow their Ipads if I want to. That's what I'll do, and read summat while I'm nibbling on a cheese and ham toastie. I agree about the 'Fergie' effect. In fact, I reckon that's their only hope. M.

I treated myself last month to the new "cheapo" kindle, Mick. Delighted with it. I had used the Kindle apps on my mobile and PC and had used it on some one else's ipad but the Kindle does mean less eye strain and is easier to read in bed. Well worth the moderate £89 it cost and for the first time since I moved to my remote cottage, I can have the luxury of reading the morning paper in bed. The ebooks will also be useful when I go skiing at the end of the month and to Valencia in Feb. PS - I knew the year's free supply of marmalade with each Breville toaster would prove irresistable to you. ;D

all hail the geriatricos you can't help but smile ;D ;D ;D ;D
as you sow so so shall you reap there disdain for the traditions of the great game of football
there complete disregard for the rules and spirit of the game will catch up and when it does i for one will stand there laughing
a club slowly loosing all semblance of a football club nothing more then a cash cow to service the debt of a couple of pieces of trailer trash
time for the fans to wake up and smell the coffee and realize there is always hope for the deluded if you want to wear yellow and green threes always Norwich
if not bring yourselves to support your local team i hear crawley are getting better
just remember we are stoke we are stoke and we will laugh when we want laugh when we want

Wonderful stuff innit! Right thats one club slowly crumbling, Chelsea will be next.... lampards cheesed off, Drogbas had his day, Boas is skating on VERY thin ice = Abramovich will get cheesed off and bail out. Mught not be for a 2 or 3 more years but the sandy foundations are slowly eroding Happy days indeed ;D

Download 'The Squirrel Hunter', John. It's about an old geezer in Cumbria who wears a Davey Crocket hat, and it's very scary. Spielberg made it into a film, and his analogy of it was that it was very much like Shawn of the Dead, but with squirrels as zombies coming back to haunt some old bastard up there who kept shooting them for soup. Then again, maybe you'd better give that one a miss. M.

Being the nice, kind person that I am, as you know Lakeland, I bought one such klndle for my other half, for Christmas. Reading the real thing, in bed however, (my one concession to retirement) it provided a good start to the day, making excellent reading, OS. Even more so, when (you forgot to add) I realised that is was written by a fan.

anyone else getting a whiff of Saga holidays on this thread? You missed your *vacation*, Bunny. But don't give up your day job. Hi, Monica. I wondered how long it would be for you to appear. Expect Daftbugger next, a tirade of matchmaking, and a honeymoon on the top of Shap Fell. This started off as a serious thread. How did we get here? This is serious Mills and Boon stuff! ??? OS.
