I wonder if they're happy with their transfer choices? Have they followed the money to the detriment of their careers? Both could have moved to Stoke by all accounts last transfer window.

Truth is they aren't interested. They've gone for the money knowing that if the worst comes to the worst, they will still have clubs chasing them next summer, most probably Stoke will be one of the clubs.
I think they call it win-win.

Both playing as 1st choice which - especially for SWP - is important
however QPR look poor

Is there anyone here who still wishes we'd signed Barton in the summer?
There were enough people bleating when we didn't sign him.

Barton has been everything most people have said a good player but an absolute lunatic. I'm sure that in the window Fernandez will continue to throw silly money around and get more mediocre footballers to join them. I'd love them to go down but sadly I think the money will keep them up.

Barton should have showed more responsibility today given his stature and experience in that dressing room. He cost them precious points today, I doubt he has the temperament for a second relegation battle, in 3 years, he will be easy to wind up now the results are getting sticky. Wouldn't be surprised to see him tweeting some old crap about QPR if they don't dig deep in January (lack of ambition, broken promises and all that)
Did he not get a red card for Newcastle and miss their last 3 relegation games?

Barton sees himself as the big fish. Wouldnt suit us at all.
Id bet they'd both love to be a comfortable 8th ;D

It's fair to say he's a fair player, in terms of skill anyway. But he brings baggage. I had mixed feelings when we missed out on Barton. Wanted his ability at Stoke, but not his character. Let's face it, he's a gong beater!

I would piss my pants if they get relegated and Barton and Wright Phillips end up in the championship, sadly I think they'll spend more and survive.
