All round play was good, but that stop on the line from yakubu was immense positioning !

Yes he played well and he had a big part in us getting 3 points today because he stopped Yakuba's goal bound shot off the throw in.

best game for us by miles and miles
apart from his pace, maybe we can make a rb out of him? ... his positioning and all round play were really good, today

Well played today. I think the 3 signings from Tottenham in the summer have helped us to play football better football on the ground.

Good game but you have to take into consideration who he was up against.
Pedersen - no pace. Henley - inexperienced.
you can only play against what is put against you granted, but lets not see him there against anyone with any genuine pace.

He looked like an actual RB today. His positioning was spot on the whole way through. Now lets see if that means he's there for the rest of the season ;-)

He played better than expected, but i still found shotton had to pick up his slack at times.

The simple fact is you can only deal with whats put in-front of you, and today he did just that and more. Had a very good game today and imo bought the best out of Shotton.

Did ok against Tottenham too , but agree he shouldn't really be playing right back.

Bit unfair i think.Blackburn played some nice, FAST football, often our weakness, and in Yakubu have a top quality striker. Thought Ryan had a blinder against him. Again, my apologies to TP for doubting his team selection. I LOVE being wrong!

So happy I was wrong today, as I was far from happy when the team was announced.

I thought Woodgate played well today, are we confident enough to play him without Shotton now?

I thought Woodgate played well today, are we confident enough to play him without Shotton now? Not just yet in the PL anyway there was a few times when he drifted into the middle of the field and Shotton had to cover him. But i would play him with Pennant in front of him in the FA Cup match to see how he goes on.

He's a class act and we're lucky to have him. It was unfortunate that he displaced Huth at the start of the season as he will never be accepted by many Stoke fans because of that. It was a master class of composure and positioning today. There are probably still some who think Wilko is a better full back!!

His experience shone through today. His positioning was spot on, the bloke has got a great footballing brain.

Just on the way back, not been impressed up to now but he was very good today.
To be fair he didn't have a winger to mark as such but he never put a foot wrong.
