Didn't notice it at the game but just watched MOTD our haranguing of the ref and fucking Cameron Jerome waving fucking imaginary cards.
Can we leave that fucking wank to the top four please.
Fucking pathetic.

spot-on Sheik.
Wrote a little about about us still having standards and then Jerome does that. Small-time sh**, that is.

Dissent in the game is terrible all round. Ref's should start to card every incident of it until players get the message? Especially the top 4.

It was shoddy indeed. If he had slapped his hand to indicate handball that would have been ok....but not the invisible card.

to be fair, they'd have done the same to us, i know it's such a dickish thing to do but it was nice karma for a red card decision to go our way for once, doesn't happen very often does it?

If I were TP, Jerome would have found himself fined once he got to the dressing room.
We can't claim the moral high ground against the likes of Suarez and then do this.

Agree. He has form for it as well (the stupid yellow for dissent against Maccabi).
Should be fined by the club.

So if the ref's took the view that it was a yellow card and not sent him off, would you be on here saying what a shit ref and we always get treated differently.
How many people moaning about the fantasy card waving were in the crowd chanting off, off, off? Just the same as card waving in my eyes.

Definitely needs sorting. That clip of Jerome and the imaginary card is embarassing. Not what we want to be about.

I might be alone here, but I've never really had that much of a problem with card-waving. I don't see how it's any different from appealing for a foul - you just want the ref to give what you consider to be the appropriate punishment.
Fair enough, if it's 6 players surrounding and haranguing the ref it's not on, but in such a high-stakes incident as yesterday's I'm not surprised that Jerome appealed to the ref in that way - it was a sending-off offence and it could have made a big difference to the rest of the game, he just wanted the ref to get it right.

Yeah thats annoying, what pisses me off more if the sheer amount of penalties we seen to give away/almost give away when not needed

One thing I remember about Brian Clough at his peak - when there wasn't a football manager to touch him anywhere - is that he expected his players to behave like men and not indulge in this sort of schoolgirl crap. I agree with the posters here that we should be better than this and leave the cheating to the clubs where the prawn sandwich brigade will think it's 'terribly clever, doncha know'?

And I think it makes a sending off LESS likely to happen not more. It puts the ref in a position whereby if he sends the player off it appears he has caved in to the con-men and shisters running around waving imaginary cards in the air. All very disappointing.

I don't agree with it, but the ref seemed to the sort where you get a free kick if you go down but if you don't appeal or go down you're not fouled. Crouch was continually pushed in the back but got very few free kicks. Jerome was spelling it out for him as it was obvious he was being swayed by the players and it was an obvious red anyway. Don't want it to creep into our game however, but it was working for Wigan.
