The one who twatted the ball into the crowd late on in the first half. Does he deserve more than a yellow? Perhaps a fine at least. I was in the Seddon where this happened, he hit a little kidder, who must have been about six. Had him crying his eyes out. how hard he hit it, it could have seriously hurt him. Hardly acceptable, just because he couldnt keep the ball in play ???

Martinez gets loads of credit for the style of play he brings to the Premier League.
Well his teams seem to bring plenty of stuff that I don't want to see as well.
Cynical, cheats and always moaning to the ref.
Great to see isn't it and I'm sure Martinez is very proud.

in all fairness it wasnt done with malice, which should mitigate things to a degree, it was only done out of the frustration of being crap not with a mind on hurting somebody
not saying it was good, just one of them heat of the moment things that happen from time to time

To be fair, Albert we were all pretty annoyed when David Speedie did it at the Vic and if a Stoke player had done it you can imagine the reaction in the press.

To be fair to him, I think he intended to blast it against the electronic advertising boards, but even so, his act of petulance was completely inexcusable. Had it been a Europa League game he'd have been lucky to stay on the pitch what with the uber fussy refs.

Does anybody remember Big John Ritchie doing this at the Vic into the Butler St Paddock. The lad ended up in hospital with concussion and Big John was so gutted about what he had done he went to the hospital to visit the youngster to apologise.
Would be a nice gesture if Stam did the same. Dunner hold yer breath though.

I saw John Ritchie do it once at the Victoria, at half time he went across to a kid with a bandaged head and apologised. I think Stam did everything correctly by apologising although he shouldn't have kicked it in the first place.. If you think about it though, if he'd kicked the ball at a player or the ref or assistant referee he would have been sent off. Maybe a player should go if he does that, after all he is endangering somebody's health

It was petulance he kicked the ball in frustration and it went high FFS there are some right moaning mard arses on this board, if it was a Stoke player there’d be nothing mentioned at all about it. Some people on here need to get a fucking life and find something better to moan about. Gouranga.

Not sure it wouldn't be highlighted, Albert. Ryan gets his own section on MoTD about how he holds strikers in the box and as we all know, he's the only player in the league to do it.
