Quite alot of rumours going round on the internet today that they'll be cancelling the show at the end of the season. I can only presume it's due to low viewing figures. I hope they don't cancel it, I enjoy watching it after MOTD.

They should put it on before MOTD, on BBC2 or something. Agree with all others, far too late.
Lost count of the amount of times I've tried to watch it and fell asleep.

I used to enjoy the old footie league show on ITV on Sunday mornings, all the goals, none of the chit chat.
I record match of the day to skip past lineker, Hansen and lawrenson talking bollocks.

Far, far better than that garbage that ITV used to put on, for the following reasons:
1) On at the same time every Saturday night, instead of some random time on a Sunday morning.
2) No adverts and no screaming at the television when they taunt you with the possibility that your team are on next before cutting to another 5 minutes of messages from insurance conmen and irritatingly loud advert for whatever brain dead shite ITV are putting on soon.
3) More time actually devoted to showing games and highlights, rather than ITV's method of only showing goals or, in League 2, only showing one goal from each game.
4) The BBC actually have some idea of how to do football. ITV don't.
It would be a massive shame if the broadcasting rights returned to ITV, who have repeatedly proven that they are completely incapable of producing a single good television show.

I think Manish is a good presenter as is the ex footballer who's name I can't remember (the black guy) however Clarridge irritates me.

The guy who let Vale have Leon Constantine for £20,000 (mind you half the goals he ever scored were in one year spells at Southend and Vale so maybe something in the water). This is bad news if true.

I think the BBC's treatment and coverage of football has become, somehow, even worse than ITV's.

I think the BBC's treatment and coverage of football has become, somehow, even worse than ITV's. The two Match of the Day shows have become dire. Regular Match of the Day is too cosy and filled with cliches, with far too much attention paid to boring games featuring Manchester United/Manchester City/Arsenal/Chelsea/Liverpool, simply because they are perceived as big clubs, while the pundits are all dry and dull. They need an actual football manager on there who can do some proper tactical analysis (hopefully somebody who doesn't mind coming out with something other than the bland garbage), to pick the order of games on merit and it would be quite nice if they did a little piece at the end of every episode shaming that weekend's worst divers and cheats. Match of the Day 2 used to be good, but with Colin Murray on and the pundits reverting to the Match of the Day model, it's all become a bit crap.

Mystical Descent - 'to pick the order of games on merit and it would be quite nice if they did a little piece at the end of every episode shaming that weekend's worst divers and cheats' - Touche - this should be highlighted as it is the scurge of modern football and seems to be swept under the carpet more than anything else!!!!!!!
