i cant be arsed to look back through this forum, but on the back of some bad form....alot of people on this forum were getting very concerned at the manner of our defeats and predicting a rocky season. And that makes them fools does it? Our form prior to the Blackburn game was appalling. Our December fixtures were worrying. That we have come through them as well as we have done is great, but anyone not worried about what lay ahead in the future after those Bolton and QPR defeats had their heads in the sand. or perhaps my assessment was correct.....blaming the extra workload in europe for our severe dip in form? funny isnt it, how 90% of the time im correct ;D oatcakefanzine.proboards.com/index.cgi?action=display&board=Potters&thread=179243&page=1

Would it have anything to do with us getting cunted by QPR and Newcastle? H obviously....my point is that these people needs to chill out and look at the bigger picture.

We weren't talking about what was to blame for the drop in form though were we, we were talking about what the repercussions of a drop in form could be.
It's not a crime to be worried about your team when you're just three points above the relegation zone and have been beaten 5-0 by one of the worst teams in the league.

No what needs to happen is the manager not fucking around with one of the most solid defences in the prem. It has fuck all to do with Europe. H

RAF, I agree that the back five should be a constant wilson, huth, shawcross, wilko/shotton but i dont think that was the main reason for the form loss, i mean the first few games of the season we kept loads of clean sheets even messing about with the back four each week.

I would play Shotton right back and Pennant right wing at home best position for both of them. Woodgate only got by because Villa didn't exploit his weakness there , they should have given Nzogbia a lot more of the ball but McCleish and TP are peas from the same pod.
