Wrights pies went down hill a while ago. The pastry is too thick and hard the filling is mushy and more fat than meat

Had a Wrights for first time in many a year prior to the Kyiv game.
Too much pastry & not enough pie (but not as bad as the one at Burnley the other year!)

Worst pie I ever had was at Barnsley's ground a few years back. Freezing cold afternoon and the woman (who had a face like a pissed off Goldfish) whacked it on the counter with no tissue or anything. I wouldn't have cared but you could have signed your name in the dirt on the counter.
They must have been looking to kill the away following stone dead ;D.

Funny you should say that i found more than one finger in me owd meat and tator pie in the 70s, fair enough they did not affect the taste of the pie once you had picked them out, but as you say worrying. ???
