Hasnt done is chances for booking a place in the matchday squad on saturday no harm at all. For me he looks like a Wilson Palaciostype of player and from what we have seen from both i would probably rather see Arismendi on the pitch.

I though Arismendi had a good game, some good touches and looked a lot better than Palacios. Maybe that's the Palacios TP sees in training

Arismendi at FB was a disaster! Nobody, not even Salif could not look better than Palacios?

Arismendi at FB was a disaster I agree...clueless would be the word I would use but I don't think I was expecting too much from him at RB to be fair.

He did well showed some nice touches however I think he gave up too easy on the build up to the pen decision when he lost out in the middle of the park, he's got be stronger there. But still a decent performance overall

He was better than Palacios when he was in the middle.

Bloody hell lads, we sent a scratch team out. We played against a very good Besitkas team of internationals. O.k they WERE the better side, but we weren't disgraced. In fact to lose 3-1, and that late in the game, and down to ten men, was commendable. We actually played some nice football. After the way they started, I expected the game to be over for us by half time. Agree, Arismendi was something of a revelation. Palacious is not fit but I still reckon he's got talent. All round good effort IMHO. Fuller looked VERY good, and KJ did well playing as he was behind Ric.

Agree. Arismendi looked very useful, and a Pulis type player. Hope to see him play in the premier league this season at some stage. He should be included regularly in the match day squad from now on in my opinion. A far more useful option than the likes of Diao on the bench.
Palacios on the other hand looked well off the pace yet again.

i thought palacios' passing was good, but his tackling was shite. he just needs to get some form from actually playing games week in week out

Arismendi reminds me of certain Joe Ledley, when Ledley was at his best. And more comfortable on the ball.

Judging on one performance is very dangerous! Good to see some promise.

Think he had a good game and I would personally like to see more of him in the prem teams as an option. I'm not saying he should walk into the team ahead of anybody but he certainly didn't let anyone down last night and probably deserves a go.

I don't think Arismendi looks anything like Joe Ledley.

Like someone said Palacios's passing was alot better than were used to seen but to me he needs to be more stronger in his tackling

The tackling issue is probably just a psychological legacy of the knee injury and will just take a little time to regain confidence in the knee to begin tackling strongly again

He played for Uruguay you know! They won the world cup (in 1930 & 1950) so he must be good!

Would like to see him get some more games under his belt with Stoke. Europa League is one thing, but more Premiership minutes would help.....and in his correct position too!
