Everyone should have a towel but instead of waving it, when we get a throw nearby where you sit throw your towel to rory/ryan. Imagine on tv delap goes to take a throw without a towel and suddenly gets covered in them. Love that image. I think a few songs are in order too... Who's that drying all the footballs Who said he could wipe it on his shirt It's that Rory and his towels Wiping Arry Redknapp's Jowels While the daily mail complains that it's a foul...

Grip gloves for Rory and Ryan and some towels in the first rows and lot of songs about FA and it could be a nice boxing day front of tv.

Ryan Shotton should not have been allowed to use a towel from under his shirt to dry the ball on Sunday — another mistake in law by the match official. Pictures clearly show Shotton drying the ball and circumventing the Premier League’s ban on using towels on the touchline. Under laws of the game, items other than the basic shirt, shorts, socks, shin guards and boots must have the sole purpose to protect a player physically and pose no danger to others. In the first instance the referee should tell the player to remove the towel and any refusal or repetition should result in a caution. Read more: www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2073349/Ryan-Shotton-booked--Graham-Poll.html#ixzz1gV9dqFAoHow the hell can a towel held by a ball boy or worn under a shirt pose danger to others? How can it be any more offensive that some south american puff wearing a snood? Goal keepers have used towels for years for the purpose of drying their gloves etc, I raised the question several weeks ago about Rory wearing gloves to get a better grip, now that can't be dangerous and goal keepers are allowed to wear them, whats the difference? I hope Stoke take this up with the FA and UEFA and clarify whats legal and whats cheating!! Arsenal have players who cost more than ours so how can that be fare??

Here is my contribution to this wonderful thread, a dual purpose towel that can be reversed to signal 'arse' when we are not in possession. And if viewed in a certain light with a squint looks like Ian Wallace's stinking Coventry away kit.....

ARGGHHHHHHHHHH. Anyone else DESPISE the omnipresence of all these "Keep Calm And Carry On" spin offs that are absolutely everywhere (advertising, merch, birthday cards). My pet hate of the moment. This towel idea is pretty funny though.

fa rules say that both teams must agree to a towel been used,,, so teams say no to it,, so ball boys cant dry the ball if thats the case then does that mean the goalkeepers cant use towels as a towel is still being used in this situation?

If someone knows how to get these printed, they could make a killing on match day. If i saw one outside the ground i'd deffo buy one, and there'd be a good chance of loads of stokies waving them!

We should get our sponsor Adidas involved, they could put an Adidas towel on every seat, I bet they would be up for that, free publicity on TV?
