Every week we get enraged posters on here sharing their contempt for media coverage usually directed towards MOTD and presenters. Its getting a bit tiring now tbh.
I think we get good press generally. Most pundits seems genuine in their admiration for our club, the management and our recent success. Should we really expect gushing praise from everyone in the media all of the time? Just because Dixon and Crookes used to play with us is it realistic to expect them to think every decision should be in our favour. On the contrary they probably have to be conscious of not siding with us as ex-players. In short, I don't really think the world is against us anymore!

Remember this? You have to ask yourself.... is a moan about moaners really going to stop moaning?

Maybe the world is against us, maybe it isn't.However generating the perception that the footballing world is against us is central to TP's thinking as it's what maintains the team spirit and atmosphere at the brit imho.

Main thing (sorry only thing) which matters is that people are talking about us.
You don't have to be very old to remember a time when you could go months or even years without seeing a single Stoke City reference in a national newspaper beyond a cursory match report unless the N40 kicked off somewhere.

Remember this? You have to ask yourself.... is a moan about moaners really going to stop moaning? There will always be moaning, don't worry about that! Its true that the club has tried to foster an us against them mentality which the fans have embraced. The problem is that this can't be sustained for ever at this level. We have many attributes which make us likeable, for example, club owned by local supporter, not diving, cheating on the pitch or constantly hassling officials on the pitch. I agree with Gods, its a blessing just to have people talking about us, though we may not always agree with their assessments.

You should tell some of the others on here, maybe they will stop throwing a fit everytime someone in the media doesn't gloat over our achievements.
