Is anyone else right now feeling the same as me in regards to all things Stoke City.. I still cannot believe where my/our team actually is. At nearly 20 I haven't been through as much of the doldrums as some of our more seasoned fans, however I still do remember one of my first games being a victory against Scunthorpe, 1-0 (One of those Radio Stoke phone in thingys), I was there when we lost 4-1 to Bristol Rovers, 1-0 against Bournemouth, even 3-0 against Watford... In 4 years we have gone from a mid table championship team, a team who struggles with away trips to Barnsley to a team who has just beaten Tottenham (a team with 11 wins out of 12), unbeaten in EUROPE with a cup final under our belt.. and sometimes I do have to take a step back and think, is this really Stoke City, are we really doing this? We have a team, seething in talent with internationals in nearly every position. And yet we still play with the same desire, grit and determination (probably more) as we have done since I began to watch Stoke. Truly fantastic times to be a Stoke Fan, and a period where I can proudly say.. I was there for that! GOOARN STOKE!

Couldn't believe it. Feels like it's come full circle - I started following Stoke aged eight during the Waddo years and the likes of Hudson and Greenhoff ending Leeds' unbearen run; my eight-year-old son is now watching Crouch and Ethers end Spurs' winning streak. Magical! :-)

Top post mate, I'm 22. Living and growing up in North Wales I was surrounded by all of the arseholes "supporting" Liverpool, Man Utd, Arsenal etc. When I told em I was a Stoke Fan they gave me loads of shit. When we got twatted 8-0 by the scousers I didn't live it down for weeks but needless to say I still wore my colours proudly. Now though they're eating humble pie. When I hear people say "these new teams are doing well but wait until they play Stoke" to say I am proud as punch is an understatement This season we've gotten into the knockout stages of the Europa league, have beaten liverpool, drawn with Man Utd, beaten Everton, beaten Tottenham (twice!), and drawn to Chelsea. Absolutely chuffed to bits!

Looking back at some old tables in programmes etc - we were second bottom after the draw at Villa in our first season. I forgot how we were still struggling so late on - 27 games played.
We then won three of the next four, four of the next six, and never looked back.
I remember the good old days, just, but this is almost better as we have saturation coverage and we're winning in Europe. The only downside is that we can't finish above 7th, ever. But that'll do.

Amazing post mate I was thinking about this the other day
I work all over the country and when I tell people Im from stoke most people immediately start praising scfc, even west ham fans last week
This truly is the golden era
One way or another we are the most talked about team in the country at the moment, I remember our first home game when we got promoted and motd were filming our stadium from a street in penkhull, the most surreal yet proud moment of my life

During that horrible run of results against Sunderland, Swansea, Bolton, Newcastle, QPR it felt like we were unravelling big time. But no, Mr Pulis has gone back to basics, steadied the ship and got everyone hating us again... ;D Unbelievable rollercoaster of emotions this last 8 weeks or so but what a moment in time right here, right now to be a Stokie. On the brink of European stardom and 8th in the Premier League. This is it - it doesn't get any better... Or does it GO ON STOKE...

It would be as well to remember we are capable of losing the next three games. However, should we win at Wolves and draw at Besiktas, I will actually jizz. Only Newcastle to catch and we are top of the middle.

Proud isnt the word, at the ground on sunday during the game i looked up at the sky with a tear in my eye, for one of the few occasions since my dad died in July.
I felt my dad there saying how proud he was of each and every one of them, and i agree it was the sort of wholehearted performance that my dad and I loved, and love. I just cried.
PS I am now, oh what a state im in.

It is a brilliant time to be a Stokie in Adelaide Oz. The change of attitude from the glory hunter supporters is incredible. No one is keen to play us particularly at the Britannia. Had $10 at 13/1 on Stoke to beat Spurs 2-1. Thanks lads for help towards my xmas drinking fund !!!

I am really proud of where our team is at and what we have achieved my mate said can't believe the position compared to other seasons. I checked after the match and was shocked to find that we were on exactly the same points ,21, as we were on this date in the previous two seasons and we had 20 points in the first season. I thought we had got better year on year but it looks like we are very consistent
