Does anyone know if the BBC dont have commentary rights for the Europa League matches? I might be wrong here but whenever I tune into Radio 5 live on a europa night they never have any live commentary. Maybe they can't they be arsed with such a trivial competition as they are so fixated with the big 5 and Champs league. Some big matches in the europa on wednesday but I would bet they have commentary on the insignificant Manure v Palarse carling cup game.

From memory, they got involved towards the later stages last season. May even be from the knock out stages onwards.

Thanks westend, so basically they cant be arsed until the 'bigger' clubs get their free entry and then they think the competition is worthy of their interest

Bang on Cousin. Incidentally my Son lives in the next state to you in Columbia SC. He does missionary work in the Cock and Bull in Columbia every game. He was home for the QPR and Blackburn games and has gone back armed with a flag and scarf for the pub ceiling. If ever you're that way on match day call in.

The BBC will be coming in their trousers if Man City are demoted to the Euro league.

The BBC will be coming in their trousers if Man City are demoted to the Euro league. What would they be like then, if both Manchester clubs drop into the Europa league. It's not beyond the realms of possibility.

i fairness i don't think that the clubs who are not involved give a rats ass. How many of us watched the final last year whe there was an English club involved, did anhone know that there was an English club involved?
Maybe if it had been a Man shity / ure or liverpool there would have been some kind of gizzfest but because it was a club thay did magnificent to get there but are unfashionable none gave a damn.

They might just be a whiff of interest if for example we get that one point & next game is lets say....Stoke City v Anderlecht

Im not sure that you can draw teams from the same league in the last 32 Menorca, although the UEFA system is complicated to say the least

Would you want to listen to, say, Fulham vs. FC Thun?

Gods, my apologies, I meant the 2010 final Between Atletico Madrid and Fulham. You've elegantly proven the point that the Europa League isn't that interesting to neutrals by missing the entire competition last season.

I honestly thought it was suspended last year because qvc were releasing a new shopping channel on the same day the final was scheduled!

If Liverpool were in it they would be all over it like a rash.
