Wilko will always have some dodgy games and some great games
Same for Wilson - but the difference is he is playing out of position
Higgy had a couple of really poor games last season, then came back and put some great displays in. Higgy just came back and after several months out then no wonder he was ring rusty
In short we still need at least one proper left back, but then again we have said that for a long time now

Wilko is better defensively, but does tend to just boot the ball up the pitch (which is when Crouch struggles)
Wilson is better on the ball but I don't feel as secure with him there as I do with Wilko.
Swings and roundabouts.

Swings and roundabouts. All our defenders just boot it up the pitch 90% of the time, unless they have a lot of time.....Shawcross is the worst for it.....don't you think they are under strict orders to get rid ?

That'll teach me to post just before I go to bed. Although normally no-one bothers replying so I'm pretty safe.
The "?" in my subject line kind of suggests I'm not totally sure about this but in terms of overall progression, both keeping things tight and expecting half-decent distribution from the full back positions, I think Wilson and Higginbotham are our best options, with the proviso that Higgy has got himself match fit.
But yes, what sufolkstokie says. Our only urgent areas to strengthen in January should be left back and winger.

I agree with the Gloved One, but I've been saying the same thing myself. Higgy isn't the long term solution at all but for me playing Wilson on his proper foot will help us more than playing Wilko there and Wilson on the left.

I cannot believe that anyone would suggest dropping Wilkinson. Someone sees something totally different to me at games to come up with this as an idea. Wilkinson is our best fullback - end of.

I think we should leave Wilko and Shotts to right back and let Wilson carry on playing left back (until TP sees what we all see) or whack him in midfield and watch those assists pile up !
