At times Stoke looked good. Passing the ball, Crouch linking up well with players around him, Delap and Whelan pushing on, Ethers getting back to his better form. No surprise then that we scored 3 goals from decent football.
Other times, especially in the first half, we were back to hoofing it and we looked awful. Note to Ryan - if you have international ambitions you need to be more composed on the ball. Not every time do you whack it first time.

To be fair to Ryan, TP was urging him to hit it long and the wind didn't help with accuracy. I felt something 'clicked' in the 2nd half and we looked like a team again. It is hard to say, because Blackburn were unfit, disorganised and lacking in belief.

March I hate to keep banging on at you but when you are making things up then I need to butt in Numerous times today Pulis told Ryan to pass the ball out to the full backs but Ryan lumped it long. I sit behind Pulis so I saw this with my own eyes Please dont make things up

Yes that was one of the occasions, but there were many more. He often shouted at him to tell him to take his time and calm down

The difference today was Wilson back fit and playing and whelan back in the starting eleven! Those two today were fantastic and gave us a platform to build on, Marc wilsons composure on the ball was worth the admission fee alone

At times we looked very comfortable on the ball, knocking it around nicely and without smashing it into the sky. I don't know whether it was because Blackburn were so poor, but it showed that we can play some nice passing football when we want to.

Hard to say as Blackburn were unfit, disorganised and lacking in desire. A better test next week.

Very dissapointed Rory delap let them wonder past him in midfield to get in such positions, I expected Rory to cover the ground and at least put a challenge in earlier, but thankfully Blackburn were woeful so we got away with it.

It will bud, I told everybody Stoke were the bankers of the coupon, we now have some futures that suit us! I wouldn't be suprised to see us go on a good run now and with the exception of the man city game I think we will pick points up in every game in December

We have the players to really make a mark on this division.

Whelan/Palacios will take us on even more when they finally play together That will never happen I'd love to know what is happening with WP. Yesterday he said he was 100% fit. Today, he didn't make the bench!

Funny how pulis knows he will be fully fit and ready play on Thursday! Anyone who's had tonsillitis will know it leaves you feeling weak and drained! So rowland is a mind reader now!

You didn't say that though did you March? Stop lying please. Clyde said that we will pick up points in every game with the exception of the Man City game. You said that you expect us to remain unbeaten until the new year...which of course includes the Man City game. I don't really agree with Clyde, but quite frankly to expect us to come away from Manchester City (who've won their last 11 Premier League home games incidentally) with anything given our away form over the last twelve months deserves to be met with ridicule.

Good win yesterday but their was a lot of stray passes and lack of control balls given away cheaply thought we looked nervous. This understandable due to the run of losses we've had hopefully the win will take the pressure off a bit.
