How dare he claim he's 100% fit.
I'm so glad we can afford to put our star summer midfield signing in the stand on our most important game.

Something's definitely going on. Players don't come out and make a point of saying they're fit if they don't think they should be getting a chance in the team and TP's response is to leave him out of the squad. What a crock of shit.

Lets hope we win. If we don't, not only will the message board be entertaining, but this subject will be a major point.

Reading between the lines,it seems Palacious is getting pissed off with not playing and, came out with this weeks statement.now he's got his punishment, not even on the bench.I have every sympathy for him.he has more talent in his Cock than all our cms.how are we meant to progress, are we going to play rory until he's 40.he must be wondering what the hell he has signed for. having said that,if we win today then everything will be "ok".until the next time. I hope we win,but I have serious concerns about are cm and what it could cost us.

It's always cloak and dagger stuff with Pulis. He is evidently full of shit.

Pulis has never taken kindly to his players contradicting him in the press. Same thing happened when Lawrence said he was 100% fit after the falling over his dog saga. Pulis went on radio Stoke to say that Lawrence was a bit thick and doesn't know what he's talking about.

Would he have scored like Whelan and Delap have ??? ;D He'd of had a hat trick as he's ten times the player. Imagine if we'd have actually attacked one of the poorest teams in the division!

Certainly Whitehead's 15 minutes at the end showed exactly why he should be on the bench at the very least.

Stunts like this are probably the reason I have never fully warmed to Pulis. He seems to fall out lot of players and now he has wasted 6 Million for player he doesn't want to field for some strange reason.
Another thing was taking Pennant out again with no reason, and he totally ignored him when he was coming out.
TP has lot of good attributes but his biggest obstacle becoming to a real top manager is he himself.

TP has lot of good attributes but his biggest obstacle becoming to a real top manager is he himself. His way or the highway though isn't it? The better we get, the more egotisical twats we'll be signing though so he needs to accept that not everyone will toe the line 100% of the time. Look at Ferguson at United. You don't mess with him but he fucks players off (Stam, Beckham, Ronaldo) when it suits him for the most part. Pulis seems to relegate a player to marginal status at the first sign of trouble (Beattie, Lawrence, Tuncay, Jerome, Palacios(?)). I reckon the only reason he hasn't sidelined Pennant is because we have a complete dearth of attacking midfield options.

No, but he should handle all players equally. And he shouldn't annoy them for no real reason.

As a player Pulis was limited so I think he really goes for those who make up for it with effort and hard work. I can understand him not being mad about Tuncay, but Palacios is very puzzling as I would have thought he was right up Pulis' street.

I just think its obvious he's going to start him om Thursday, took Pennant off to save him for THursday and he will probably rest Ethers, who looked knackered at the end today. Jones will start too.
I would leave Tommo in on Thursday too. Infact leave the defense alone they need practice together.

We love a good conspiracy theory on here don't we.
I wonder could it be as simple as - we want to make sure he is 100% right before we throw him into a high pressure, high stakes Premiership match??? Hmmmmmmm You just never know do you?

H I tend to agree but all this shit about Pulis not WANTING to play him even though he is ready is bollocks. Pulis will play what he thinks is the best team to win a game whether we agree or not. To suggest he wouldn't play a fully fit Palacios is crap. Why did he sign him in the first place if thats the case?

i cringed when i saw him in the sentinel, thats the last thing you say to our manager. fook me footballers and brains just dont go together do they. he should keep his mouth shut and let the manager pick the team. his arenais the training ground if he shows the manager what he can do thn he might have a chance. still think it was a bit strange for him not to make the bench maybe he isnt as fit as he would like us to believe

H Sorry I don't proofread my posts as thoroughly as I should. Here's a clearer version: 1. Pulis signed a player who wasn't fit for a large sum. 2. Pulis has given him some game time during which Palacios has not seemed fully match fit. 3. We were facing a massive game today. 4. Palacios says he's ready which is great. 5. Pulis and his team decide he's not ready which is not great. 6. Rather than risk a player who appears less than fully fit Pulis opts to play two players who demostrate their full fitness week in and week out. 7. Stoke win 3-1 which suggests Pulis got this one right.
