What players do you think Pulis will look at buying?

Some center backs, a goalscorer (likely to be around 6 ft + and useless) a back up winger (probably naturally a center mid) and a cheese and onion pasty.

I've actually not got a clue who or what he'll go for this time.
Logically, some kind of a winger would be on the shopping list. Whether Pulis has a list or just plays a game of pin the tail on the donkey with Kemp is anyone's guess.
Presumably, we'll need some sort of cover to cover for the cover we've brought to cover the central defensive crisis that Pulis sees as being just around the corner.

Surely, after all Mama's been through, even they couldn't be so cruel? ???

No doubt not the same as us. We're clearly crying out for (in order of importance) a winger, central midfielder and left back.
For me I'd go for any of the following as realistic options
Snodgrass (Leeds) Zaha (Palace) Moses (Wigan) Diame (Wigan) Whittingham (Cardiff) N'Zonzi (Blackburn) Cattermole (Sunderland) Cahill (Everton) Bridge (Man City) loan Ridgewell (Brum) Onuha (Man City) Maynard (Bristol City)

A couple of centre backs and a non descript lump who plays somewhere in the middle.

Is the Bet365 wallet definitely open this Jan? You wouldn't be too surprised if Coates said you've had your whack for this season.

I doubt PC will let him waste anymore of his money.
He will want to see players move out first

I doubt PC will let him waste anymore of his money. He will want to see players move out first And I think that's only fair too I could see Jones or Jerome off and even Pennant perhaps if the rumours of him being unhappy are anything to go by and theres clearly issues with Huth and who can blame him the way he's been messed about. Come Feb 1st would you be happy with something like Bego Wilko Ryan Upson Bridge (loan) Ethers Palacios Diame (3m as his contracts running out) Snodgrass (4/5m) Walters/Fuller Cahill (3m due to age) subs from Crouch, Onuha (5m), Wilko, Wilson, Walters/Fuller, Sorro, Marshall, Higgy, Woodgate, Zaha (5m), Whitehead, Shotton, Jones/Jerome. I'd be happy with that other than Huth going as for me he's been our most influential player over the last 2/3 seasons. But all said there's no point in having players who either don't want to play or the manager doesn't want.

I still believe Pulis still has eyes on Ledley he always goes back in for players, reckon Marc Wilson was always on the B list after Ledley and I don't think TP has much confidence in Wilson.

We won't buy another striker and Lalana will go nowhere with Saints sitting pretty at the top of the Championship. We missed that boat two season ago when we were meant to be sniffing. Snodgrass could at least play left and right (as can Marshall of course). I'd chuck Wilson in at right back myself as he has far more composure and distribution than Wilko. With Wilko and Higgy at full back we're never going to add anything significant going forward and that's been a problem too. If we can shift some of the dross just to get them off the wage bill we may get another midfielder in but I'd bet no more than two players and only one of them might cost a fee.

To be fair we looked reasonably nifty going forward with Wilko and Higgy there at the end of last season. A reasonably mobile left back would be nice though. Another winger is crucial. Another midfielder would be the icing on the cake but suspect we'll wait until the summer for that.

You would hope that the penny dropped some time ago about the need for back up wide players. The manager has had 5 months to line someone up. We all knew this for most of last season but nothing was done apart from a last minute ridiculous ask about Adam Johnson and some discussions with the midget. That hardly seemed it was of much importance to the manager to get a wide player in. It was high negligence not to do so if he doesn't address this problem in January, you would have to wonder wtf he is playing at.

Whatever happens I just hope he gets players in early and doesn't use the very flawed tactic of leaving everything to the last day. We need players in sharpish.

What players do you think Pulis will look at buying? The are 2 different lists - one for players to look at (known as the davesviews list) and one for players we are actually thinking of buying

I think TP will be looking at a maximum of one player in January.
Hopefully a back up winger.

A back up winger, a decent "fit" midfield player and a LB. get these in and I'd be a very happy chappy!

We know what will happen. Throughout January there will be rumours linking us to various wingers and exciting foreign prospects then at the last minute we'll bring in some huge black guy who is described as experienced and versatile; meaning past it and equally useless in several defensive roles.

If he ignores the creative chasm we have in midfield and doesn't buy a proper left back again he shouldn't be given another penny.

Firstly, Jerome is on a massive contract, so would cost £15m+ or any team wanting him. Secondly, he's already played for Birmingham and Stoke this season so he wouldn't be allowed again until next season. Anyway, he's only just joined, no chance of him leaving, what a strange opinion.
