Seeing that we are having a things this things that spell.
Mine has got to be Stonehenge. I was expecting stones of at least 30 to forty foot high. I got breeze blocks! Toss.

I would go because it is good. I just had really high expectations.
I went in the winter months when it was bloody freezing which made it hard to stay outside. I also had everything planned for me (group trip) so I had to visit places that i would normally not have bothered with. On the other hand i also got visit a lot of places that when your own you wouldn't have the time to do.
I'm sure that at some point I'll go back to check it out again - when the climate is warmer.

Pretty much every time we're told some astronomical event is 'nature's firework display'.
If there isn't too much cloud to see anything anyway it usually turns out to be a fuzzy smudge slightly less impressive than the street lamp opposite my house.

Completely agree about Stonehenge, for some reason I had it in my head I'd be completely blown away by them, and then when I actually saw them, they were EXACTLY the size I thought they'd be, which for some reason dissapointed me. Didn't help that it cost nearly a tenner to walk around them and the closest you can get to them is about 20 yards away!

Grand Canyon, it was impressive at first, but a canyon isn't something that keeps my attention for longer than 45 seconds. I need gimmicks.

The Angel of the North. As you see it from a distance, it lookks to be on top of a big hill but when you get to it, it's just on top of nothing more than a mound. Impressive sculpture but too overpowering for it's location.

The old Wembley , it was made out to be some magical footballing arena but really it was a tired rundown dump. I have to say though that the new one is quite impressive but it should be giving what it cost.

The valley of the kings.
For some reason i thought it would be like Vegas and all royal like but it was just random holes in the ground in the desert.
The actual work of the tombs is amazing and the colours and sculptures and how the hell they managed them with just hand tools is amazing.

Any bonfire.
Every year there is a build up to bonfire night.
It's just a big fuck off fire, which might have been exciting 50 years ago, but in the days of action movies and massive police chases which always end in a massive explosion I want to see a bonfire with a body being dragged out 4 hours later followed by mass hysteria and applause and we find out they are still alive.
