The players on the field at the time of such bad calls by the ref should all go and stand in a huddle and basically stop the game to show there disrespect. I can remember playin years ago that we all walked off untill the captain had words with a shite ref and we had a written complaint against him stating why we had done this. About time people remembered it's just a game - nothing more If only it were.

It would be nice if one manager moaned about the standard of the ref when he had won the game so it didn't sound like a lame excuse. It would look very classy to praise the ref whenever you lose and slag the ref whenever you win

It would be nice if one manager moaned about the standard of the ref when he had won the game so it didn't sound like a lame excuse. Remember when Gary Macallister did this when Coventry beat us. Andy Hall was the ref and had sent two of our players off for wearing red & white stripes. His whole performance stunk the place out. Macallister and Pulis held a joint press conference and Macallister said he wanted to back-up whatever Pulis said about the ref. Mind you, Macallister had also been booked during the match for clapping sarcasticly.

here's something a bit odd. Villas-Boas has been fined £12,000 for the same crime. LinkIndeed, that page has a table in it that shows the different fines that managers have received for criticising referees. TP is dead in the middle. Why is there that difference? I presume that Ferguson's fine is because he's a serial offender, but the same couldn't be said of Villas-Boas, who hasn't been here for more than 5 minutes.

They should do what they do in American Football, Rugby League and Cricket. Go to a fourth official. IO watched an American Football game on sunday and they over turned a decision. It was the correct decision in the end and the players accepted it and got on with the game.
