that you remember fondly ( or should it be fondly remember ? )
After leaving Stoke as a 10 year old I spent my formative teenage years in the 60's living in the West Country. The alcoholic drinks I used to like were rough cider at 11 d a pint ( that's just under 5 p in money today ) I also use to like oatmeal stout and as a special treat I would spend my pocket money on barley wine. My favourite drink though was Ushers brown ale which set me apart a bit from my school pals who preferred Wadworths 6X. We also used to get Manns Brown , Double Diamond and Watneys Red Barrel which I had occasionally.
What alcoholic drinks did you used to enjoy in your youth ?

special brew and tequila slammers ( pretty nasty but quick and effective )
1/2 pint 1664+1/2 pint 1080 cider and a rum and black added to the top ( even more effective than the above and tasted better to my 20 year old palate ; still nasty though !! )

from the ages of 13-16 i could often be found in a state on a friday night on any of these various local hotspots for teen drinkers. Woodhouse fields, Adderley Green Park, Foley Park, Sammy's Pool/Valley.
my usual poisons were:-
MD 20/20 Lynx Super (4 cans for £5, was all that was needed) White Lightening 8x Stella - £6
ah the days of a mis-spent youth!
