How many times has he "stood down" now, yet he still remains around the club like a bad smell.
You get the feeling that nothing will change there until he's out of the place for good.

He will be back by the new year. Pokeing his nose into the first team affairs. Dario will have a fit if the new manager doesnt play one of his 14 year olds and doesnt play the Crewe way.

Given that he's undermined everyone who's had the job on the other occasions he's "stood down" you can't see how this is going to help anything.

The best for all concerned will be for him to stand back up, relegate them for good and then walk away.

I don't think that Gudjon would speak to highly of Mr Gradi! Dario undermined Gudjon at every conceivable opportunity on just about every issue associated with the football side of the club.
All started well and when Gudjon refused to take an ex-Crewe player on loan (can't remember his name but it was the midfielder who went to Sheff Wed), Dario started meddling and it was downhill for Gudjon from thereon in.

That's the one seddon! Good man. Kenny Lunt it was who Gudjon refused to take back on loan and Dario's shit hit the fan. I think King Kenny may well have been one of Dario's early teenage bum boys!

I don't think Steve Holland has many good words to say about Dario after his ill-fated stint as manager there either... The phrase "Shat on from a great height" springs to mind!

He's also usually responsible for selecting his successor-how teh fuck can that work.
Dario: Hello son. You can have this job if you promise that this club will always play young overated players. You play football the Crewe way and most importantly you have the best disaplinary record in the country.
New manager candidate: well I've got my ideas Sir and those include bringing in some decent defenders who have played at a good level historically. They're the wrong side of 30 but they'll offer us a solid base to build the team around.
Dario: Hold up there babycakes. woah, woah, woah. We only play players who are younger than 22 and have failed at big clubs youth systems. This is the Crewe way. I know. I invented it son. Have you never heard of Geoff Thomas and David Platt? Seth Johnson. Danny Murphy?
New manager candidate: I have Sir but wasn't that 25 years ago now and the game has changed since then. Excuse my pardon but hasn't this club been on a downward spiral ever since the YTS scheme changed in this country and you've become a boring old fart.
Dario: Thanks for your time today. Don;t call us we'll call you. Please help yourself to cheese and biscuits on the way out.
I hope they get areally succesful manager who takes them onto Champions league glory. Anything to get that boring twat Dario Gradi off the airwaves forever.

If he truly cared about the club he should have walked away 5 years ago and stayed away.

I think he's a director of the club and he has a financial interest. He will not be able to keep his nose out of it as he has a vested interest in selling anyone he can so he'll want the kids to keep playing. When he started they were in the lower reaches of the 4th divsion and they are right back there.

Great news.
We don't have to listen to his analysis of the past months training rather than the game they've just played on P&G.
His interviews were so so boring

I don't think he has sounded too well, when he's been on the radio so all the best to him in his new role.
As for Gudjon, he was hardly likely to fit the Crewe mould so it was a strange appointment at the time.
They need to take Adams from the Vale, now that would be funny.

Will he go back to his old role as Director of Throwing a Massive Strop at the Manager When the First Team Get the Training Facilities Muddy, with special duties in swearing at opposition youth teams?
Why can't he just leave with dignity?

A legend. Will never see the like at Crewe again (thank fuck). I'll be amazed if anyone manages to take the Trainspotters anywhere near the Championship again.
