Just seen Best is out of Ireland's first leg against Estonia as his Mrs is due to give birth, Doyle is suspended and Long has already pulled out with a knee injury.
Does this means Walters will be leading the line? Otherwise they'll have to go with either Cox from West Brom or a McGeady/Hunt/Duff type of player off Robbie Keane and have zero physical presence up top.

When is the game?

Friday night. 7.45pm. It's the away leg so I reckon he might go 4-5-1 and have Keane on his own. They have enough in midfield to do that.

I hope so. Walters is the only player to have played all the games (Toon, Tel Aviv, Bolton) so a rest would be nice.
Best should be back by then surely?!?

I want him to have a goalscoring cameo in at least one game so he isn't knackered for QPR. He may be super-fit but 20-odd competitive games by the middle of November is pushing it a bit.

I hope he does not play. A rest would do him good.

Everything said by the coach over the past few days suggests that Walters will start. The management were very impressed by his enthusiasm and discipline in his 15 minutes against Slovenia. Regardless of how he plays, he is likely to be replaced by Doyle for the second leg on Tuesday.

No chance, trap only ever plays a 4-4-2 do he'll stick with that. I expect Walters to start up top with Keane, but regardless of his performance I think Doyle will replace him for the home leg Tuesday.

Trap has announced the starting 11 for tomorrow, well 10 of the starting 11 actually. Ridiculously he has named the who will start in every position except for who will play up front alongside Keane, as he says he hasn't made his decision yet.
If Cox, a player who cannot get near a shite Brazil side, starts ahead of Walters, who has been fantastic for us this season and the 2nd half of last season, then it's a joke.
