yes we are on a bit of a low after Sundays embarrassed, but i thought i would point out that Plymouth Argyle, a team that have gone closer to going out of business of any side in the last 20 years, have now had a buyer, but conceded in the 94th minute on saturday to draw. They are 4 points adrift in league 2.
I think its fantastic news that their finances are a bit safer now and I will be fully supporting them to hopefully stay up and stay in existence.
we were a horror show yesterday, but we are 12th in the prem, with a lot of quality in the side, and hopefully sunday will be a turning point and the kick up the backside we need.
when pulis was first appointed back from plymouth they were in a similar situation to us - a battler against relegation in the championship. For some to be asking for pulis' head is disgusting - without him (and Peter Coates of course), just think where we could have fallen to.
he ain't perfect, he ain't world class, but he has pulled us out of FAR worse situations than we are in at the moment. Think what happened after west ham 3-0 last season - think what could happen now if we start finding that kind of form from the back end of last season for the rest of this season. and think about poor plymouth.

You should put into context our away record, the fact that we're leaking goals, can't score goals and are only 3 points from the relegation zone.
Fuck europe and out current position in the table. If we carry on like this then come Xmas we'll be in the bottom 3.

I know what you're saying oggy and while I'm not a knee-jerker, I am incredible pissed off with some of the basic errors Tone is making of late.
The gaffer's deployment of the players he has been allowed to purchase has been head-scratchingly bad of late.
There are also issues about the failure to sign a left back and a winger (not for the first transfer window).
I'm sure he'll turn it round but he's made some pretty basic errors that he needs to address and address quickly.

i agree with both, but last season when we got thumped by west ham, who were bottom of the table, we ended up playing the best football i have ever seen by a stoke city side - and we were in a far more dire situation then than we are now.
pulis has made some unfathomable decisions lately, but we have been in far worse positions and he has pulled us through and in some style. I honestly have faith that he will rectify a lot of our basic errors as you describe them Jamo, which will solve a great deal of what you mentioned foster.
Spending lots of cash does not instantly mean we are above going down or being in a relegation battle. it merely suggests we should be better equipped to fight against it. we are expecting way too much at the moment because we have got used to some incredible times at the club, and we mustn't forget that, nor where we could be without pulis and coates - as i alluded to in my OP.
