Worrying times? It's fucking frightening! I can't believe how bitter some of our support is, and how impressionable some of the others are.
I'm off to hit the bottle and slide into a decline.

wasted money on crouch and jones they are goal scorers but both are asked to play in the hole and head it backwards then neither has the acceleration to get into a goal scoring position, our two wingers play ever deeper probably to man up an absymal midfield,if we didnt have john walters we would be fucked for sure! tony has always been the same buys a player then trys to turn him into something else the way he tried to get his lawn mower to hoover his carpet after he had cut the grass. I guess there must be about 84 current Premier/Football League Club managers who are consistently worse than TP because they haven't been able to achieve what he has. Given the excellent salaries these guys earn, their obvious lack of talent (based on how awful TP is), and your obvious ability to see what's wrong with a team and how to fix it, I am surprised that you don't apply for a manager job in a lower league and work your way up to the top. Let me know which club you choose, so that I can follow your rise to the top.

It can be very unpopular to be critical on this board - good job I put my tin hat on. I maintain that these are worrying times, maybe I worry to much but for me the warning signs are there. We have all seen expensively assembled sides get relegated - West Ham not too long ago spings to mind.
Monday was awful - a few more of them and even those blinded by loyalty who refuse to ever be critical may start to see it. There is no point going on about how far TP has brought us - we are where we are now and returning to where we came from is no longer an option. If we are in the bottom 5 by Christmas and certainly the new year some brave decisions maybe needed.
In Tony I still trust - but yeh Im worried too many appallling performances for me.

Even if we're in the bottom five at Christmas (and I don't think we will be) it would be a colossal knee jerk given how well we've done over the last few years. Have there really been that many "appalling" performances? Every team not in the top 6 is going to have the odd bad run, and we're still adapting to Europe. There are alarm bells about how easy it was to completely shut us down on Monday, but it's way too early to start talking about "brave decisions".

But you don't REALLY trust in Tone you? That's ok - that is your opinion. However, don't expect Coates to sack Pulis even if we get relegated - he DOES trust him and would give him the chance to get us back up.

They're certainly not good enough. Still not exactly panic stations yet.
