I think the fact Al Jazeera may get the next tv deal may have bigger implications on our football, god only knows what times and days we will be playing on if these morons get their hands on our game from 2013 to 2016.

I don't get why the Prem wants more and more money all they do is push wages higher and higher. There is obscene money in English football yet almost every club is in the red unless it has a sugar daddy!
Its about time the money was distributed far more fairly than it is but I guess we all know that'll never happen and in the meantime its mugs like us fans that are paying £40 or more to watch one match (Chelsea,Liverpool, ManUre, Villa, QPR etc) whilst the overpaid little darlings that play the game demand more and more. Sickening.

Yet another example of the premier league raping the rest of English football. The wider implications could be catastrophic, many lower league teams packing In their youth set ups and young talent in those areas not getting in to football full stop.

Interesting to read Barry Fry's comments in that article saying that many lower league clubs will scrap their youth academies. Listening to Dario Gradi at the weekend, he reckoned that clubs like Crewe would be hit hardest as they put so much into their youth system but he said that MOST lower league clubs have already scrapped their youth development programmes. I guess that's likely to continue if the talent they manage to discover and develop are stolen for peanuts by the big clubs. It just seems to get worse and there realy is no end to the greed of the Premier League. They are now bunging a bit of money to the lower leagues to find and develop talent for THEM rather than for the benefit of those that need it most and have done all the work.

Any member of the FA who thinks restricted transfer fees in that situation is a good idea must be forced to listen to a revolving recording of Dario's interviews until they realise the error of their ways
