Guys how many do you think we need to progress? 10pts enough? The current betting odds to win the competition are strange but its early days of course. Seems Stoke are about 7th Fav to win at 20/1...Besiktas are way out at 66/1 We are also the bookies favourite to be the british team to progress the furthest in the competition

Win all the home matches and draw the away ones and we're fine. We could afford to lose to Besiktas in Turkey if we beat Tel Aviv home and away.

The beisktas away will be a real tough one as will Kiev at home. Guess we could do with the 2 ties between Besiktas and Kiev being draws that would help. But 2 home wins could clinch it.

Besiktas/Kiev will take points from each other either way, which will help us as long as we can beat Tel Aviv and hopefully beat Kiev at home. I guess even a draw to Kiev might be fine, staying unbeaten is key.

One more win & draw might be enough....would rather win both home games to be secure though

8 points is all we'll get I think and 8 points should be enough. Our 4 games: Stoke-Macc Tel-Aviv 3-0 Macc Tel-Aviv-Stoke 1-0 Stoke-D Kiev 1-1 Besiktas-Stoke 1-0 The other 4 games: Besiktas-D Kiev 0-0 D Kiev-Besiktas 2-2 D Kiev-Macc Tel-Aviv 3-2 Macc Tel-Aviv-Besiktas 1-0 Table Besiktas 2 2 2 9-6 8 Stoke 6 2 2 2 7-5 8 -------------------------- D Kiev 6 1 5 0 8-7 8 M T-A 6 2 1 3 4-11 7 Stoke through.

i Loved the 3-2 Dinamo - Maccabi game - probably gonna be great, 8) but seriously, i think stoke gonna take 3 points from Maccabi at the Britannia, lose Away, Draw in Besiktas and win Dinamo home. it will get 11 points for stoke. bout Maccabi - i think its all about our home games - im sure we wont lose them, but hopefully we have to win them , if we take Stoke, Besiktas home, and draw twice in Kyiv and Stoke were gonna be with 9 points in total, im sure it will be enough for qualifying.

Kiev are the draw champions then and it seems a shame that they remain unbeaten but still go out, whereas both Stoke and Besiktas lose two games. I know it's possible, but don't think this forecast is going to occur somehow old pal.

Swedish team GAIS from Gothenburg are still UNBEATEN in a Champions League final, they have never lost one. They haven't played in any on the other hand... ;D Do you see my point? My point is, how many European games have MaccTel-Aviv played at home the last 15 years? This last scenario with Macc Tel-Aviv only taking ONE point in the Euro League group stage is NOT going to happen. I think Stoke might lose away to them. Hopefully, Macc Tel-Aviv can beat both Besiktas at home and D Kiev away!

Hopefully, Macc Tel-Aviv can beat both Besiktas at home and D Kiev away! i already wrote that one but ok, now again - Fenerbacche, Lans, Juventus, Ajax, Tenerife, Werder bremen, Paok, Olympiacos, Panathinaikos, Dinamo Zagreb, Boabista, PSG, Roda, Dinamo Kyiv. only from the teams you know(theres alot more, just unkown teams like Zelecnijar and such . And Maccabi play in europe every year, were the best team in all times in israel and allways finish in 1-4, so we compete in europe every year... (exept for 2007, 2009, our wrost years in our history ) on and by the way, in 2005 in the CL group, we were in the Hell group, probably the strongest in the competition in that year, and we were the only team who took points from Juventus (they were luckily to equalize in the end to 1-1)

I expect teams will continue to take points off each other like Stoke at Kiev and Besiktas at Maccabi. 10 points will be enough, and may even see us finish top.

I think we might surprise Maccabi away (sorry stokemaccabi) and get a score draw.
I think we'll beat them and Kiev at home and already be through when we play Besiktas in the final game. They will probably need a draw to go through, provided they beat Kiev at home, in which case with it still being 0-0 after 70 mins they'll take a point, gladly.
But then we'll hit them on the break in the 88th minute and Wilko will get his first goal for the club. He'll then charge into the Besiktas crowd and start doing the robot, he's been taking lesson's from Crouchie, to which the Besiktas fans start doing the Robot as well because it's so infectious. Pulis is unhappy that Wilko hasn't come up with an original dance and substitutes him for a returning Higgy. Higgy saunters onto the pitch in an effort to impress and then breaks it down doing the "Higgy" in which he curls up into a ball and then springs up before returning to a ball and repeating.
