A thought occurred on sunday when the team was announced just how english it is.Only Beggo Wilson and Whelan were born outside of England and Beggo is the only non english speaking player. I am struggling to think of another prem side to match that. I know its not really that interesting but its brekkie time for me and I am getting footie withdrawl and this post makes a change from the hundreds about our shit away form

I imagine that Swansea or Norwich will be the teams that feature the most English players.
Just found out that Norwich have 15 English players in their squad.

I think the op was referring to players first language or represents a nation that doesn't use English as its first language.
Pretty interesting though, good to see a British premier team with brits in

Norwich only have 2 players that come from countries that don't use English as a main language.
Richie De Laet - Belgium
Daniel Ayala - Spain

I'd have thought both the Manchester clubs would have had the most English players.......... After all, the national side seems to be made up by them!!!

yeh...well usually the England manager would rather pick Arse or Manure reserve players than any other teams starlets!!

Kenwyne, Fuller, Huth, Sidibe, Diao, Delap, Arismendi, Palacios to name a few non english players in the squad.... Delap is English. Born in Sutton Coldfield. Brought up in Carlisle. He might have played for Ireland, but so does Walters, who's a scouser.
