Begovic
Wilko Wilson Huth Woodgate
Pennant Palacios Whelan Ethers
Walters Crouch
subs:
Sorenson Upson Shawcross Whitehead Delap Shotton Jerome
Tough one to call at centre back. Normally I'd always go for Ryan and Huth, but can live with a bit of rotation after a European game. It'd be harsh to drop Woodgate after his showing against Man Utd and I reckon Huthy needs to be shown a bit of love after a tough few weeks out of position.
I could live with any two from four in the midfield positions.

We won't see Huth at CB unless Woodgate and Upson are both injured. Sad face.

In many ways this Sunday's match will be a marker for our season could pan out.
This is a game that we should be looking to pick up points from and it will be interesting to see the performance we put in.
Following our last Europa game, albeit away from home we were woeful and whilst TP made no excuses, the players were way off the pace.
If we really are to push on this season and be an top half side, Sunday may just give us an idea if this could be a reality.

We won't see Huth at CB unless Woodgate and Upson are both injured. Sad face. I think you're probably right but surely we're getting close to Huth being regularly (he didn't start against ManU) dropped from the first XI altogether in the league. The last two MOTM awards have been awarded to the player playing in the right back position - Wilko and Shotton, just how TP can justify starting Huth athead of these two in that position is completely beyond me and to start him on Sunday at left back (after what the manager saw last night) against Nathan Dyer really would be hanging the Huthmeister out to dry.

Thought that Shot's did enough last night to get the vote at RB, hope so anyway.

I think Huth has to start at left back V Swansea. I'm one who thinks Huth and Shawcross should be left alone in the centre half position regardless of Woodgate but watching Wilson getting torn a new one by Nani he will get the same againsnt the Swans best player and fastest player Dyer. Huth looks nothing like himself in either full back position but for this one game he will be a better option than Wilson. He is just to slow and it showed first half V the shit. Have to be strong in the full back position V Swans and we should do OK.

WP is clearly not quite there yet but I'm very hopeful of WP being fully fit just as Higgy returns then we will see our strongest lineup.

IMO Sunday's game is particularly important.......I mean no offence to them, but it's teams like Swansea that we need to beat at home AND away if we want to establish ourselves in the top half.... It will be interesting to see if we can perform strongly after three tough games in 12 days......one good thing I've noticed is that all the new signings are improving both fitness-wise and in the way they are fitting in to the team formula..... It's pleasing to note also, that Mama and Ric are almost ready to return......

Not playing Shawcross is something that i personally view as akin to madness, i've read loads and loads and loads and then some more bullshit posted on this forum. But leaving Shawcross out is just about the limit for me.

Shawcross is club captain - you don't drop/rest the club captain in league games. He's also in good form at the moment, young and fit. Rotation surely has to centre on Huth, Woodgate and Upson - at the moment i'd be happy with any ONE from the three alongside Ryan. The full backs have to be Wilkinson and Wilson (barring injury).

They've all done their bit and I would feel pretty confident wth any 2 from 4. Huth and Upson have an excellent record so far and right now you could argue this to be our most solid pairing.

In my opinion you can't drop anyone of the starting XI (barring injuries of course) after their performance against Man Utd last Saturday, every one of them was outstanding.

No-one saying anything about Kenwynne's availability. Last I heard was that they were hoping he would be in contention for the game against Swansea. What's the latest?

Id like to see Crouch rested first half let Jerome run at em with Walters the stick him on second half .
their love of possession especially at the back could be their un doing against us.
I still don't think Ethers is fit and wouldn't play him till he is.
Id agree with Upson instead of Huth as well for this match.

I know Palacios isn't quite fit enough yet but I haven't seen anyone state that they would like to see a Delap Palacios midfield. I would of thought most people would like to see this.
speaking for myself I am waiting patiently for Higgy to return and hopefully TP will team Palacios and Wilson in the centre.
