The missus was parked on double yellows this mornin (sitting in the car waiting for someone who had just nipped in to a shop) - traffic wardens (2 of them) then appeared and whilst they hovvered front & back, no ticket was issued - are we likely to get something in the post? should they have said something - asked her to move on maybe???
Workmates reckon no ticket no fine...but I'm not so sure.???
Anyone have a view or similar experience ??
TIA

I believe a vehicle is only parked once the driver has turned the engine off.
Not 100% sure if it's when the driver gets out and locks the vehicle though.
At any rate, they didn't issue a ticket so there's no fine to be paid. I suspect the wardens were debating between themselves about what is legally deemed a parked car and that's why they didn't issue the ticket.

So she just sat there while they hovered! You might want to knock a bit of sense into her! If a ticket wasn't issued you won't get a ticket!

I thought you could stop on double yellows but not park, anyway.
Like if you have to pick up/drop off which is essentially what she was doing.
