....if both teams would have just turned up tonight, had a penalty shoot-out and gone home again?

....if both teams would have just turned up tonight, had a penalty shoot-out and gone home again? The bloke sitting in front of me would have appreciated it. He did nothing but moan for 90 mins. I knew he would be trouble when asked; 'which one is Crouch?' after 5 minutes.

I've had a go at you on another thread which you might not have seen yet ("Pulis wants to win the Carling Cup!" or whatever it's called) but for now, until you have a go back, I'll remain friends.
You should have told him it was the little black fella in central midfield and spent the next hour laughing to yourself as he criticised 'Peter Crouch'.

I enjoyed the game Pricey, lots of chances 2nd half and through injury time. Think it's made my lads night (he is 9) a his first penno shoot out Yet again the spawny little sod sees a Stoke win, think it's the first one I have seen live! Told him about a time when I was his age when Stoke lost something like 9-8 to Man city (both teams had 13 pennos!) in about 1983 - I still remember it now! Halcyon times

Oldham in the first round of whatever the Carling Cup was called then (Worthington Cup?) sticks in my head. Karl Henry missing in sudden death.
I just wondered because BBC Radio London seemed to think there wasn't a proper shot on target...

Halcyon times Chapman missed the crucial kick, skying the ball into the roof of the Boothen. There were so many penalties that everyone had taken one and this was second time around for Chapman.

Poor finishing, lots of chances.
They missed a few shots, we missed 3 sitters, lots of crosses and throws flying in (I must have shouted 'attack the bloody thing' 20 times!)
I also sat in the QRailing upper, block 3 on the front row so the view was excellent, if a little muted atmosphere wise. Nice to have a drink in comfort though before and during half time!
No piss ridden bog up there!

Yes I was absolutley gutted to go for a pint with my mates and spend 4 hours having a laugh, not having to take the game to serious. Wish I'd stayed in and watched Leeds now or east fucking enders
