Gates are holding up reasonably well at Vale Park given what I take to be the paucity of the football on offer. I guess what they do is offer a real alternative in the area to the whole Premier League jamboree with all the nonsense which surrounds it. Out of interest, what does it cost to watch the Vale ? For an ordinairy seat, adult, no concessions, pay on the day ? I may poke my nose in at some point just to see what I am missing (or otherwise)

I haven't been to Vale Park since they beat Spurs in the FA Cup in about 1984. My photo appeared, incriminatingly, in the match program behind the goal in the Bicars the following week where they had a photo of the Vale goal. At least I wasn't celebrating

over 20 sheets for that level of football is unreal!!!! I dared to suggest the same to my Vale-supporting mate t'other day. He replied: "Well if you're a real fan, you get a season ticket". I think he may have missed the point completely.

£20.50/21.50. I got asked to go today, I said no. That's very expensive for a league 2 game! I watched Sheffield United today and it only cost 18 quid

A few Valeites are only attending away games this season and avoiding home games "to send the board a message". Doesn't seem to be working very well.

I too was at their win against Spurs. Wankers. There were loads of us there that day mate. Last time I set foot inside Vale Park was the game they got relegated to the 3rd division, playing against Huddersfield. I was in the away end. Great fun. Steve Bruce was manager of Huddersfield at the time.

I remember going to watch Vale Vs Burnley back in the 90's with some Vale fan mates. I only went cos Inchy Heath and Rooster were playing for Burnley. Stood in Lorne St, and when Vale scored i just there in silence and got some strange looks. I got some even stranger looks when Burnley scored in the dying seconds and i started laughing! ;D

Im a Stoke City fan that comes from the North End of our City but so what. Vale are our local rivals. I hate the fuckers and love to see them struggling.

£20.50/21.50. I got asked to go today, I said no. i thought this seemed well over the top but just looked on the Bradford City website as i was thinking of going on a saturday when Stoke arent playing and they charge £20 ?? ?? ?? Is it any wonder these grounds are nearly empty on a matchday. They also don't allow under 2s into the stadium, which is quite frankly retarded. My daughter went to her first game when she was about 6 months and i know plenty of parents who have taken kids who are under 2. They really do shoot themselves in the foot sometimes, and for all we moan about Stoke sometimes, they are much more 'supporter friendly' than a lot of clubs.

i wonder if big daft "hold yer line" les was there...? he has been very quiet since he shot to fame on this site and youtube.....! getting back to the attendance for this match when you consider that it was a local derby and top of the table-ish match it was a rather poor turnout. great result tho' .....go on you shrews....
