It looks likely that the 8500 target is going to be tight.
Given the fact that not all 'pledgers' will buy a season ticket*, do you think Stoke City will still offer the cheaper tickets or will they come up with some half baked excuse?
I would say if the pledge count is up around 9000, the club will offer the tickets. Maybe the club has built in a 'buffer' in the 8500.
* I include myself in this as I never intended to buy a season ticket for one reason or another. I pledged to help other Stokies have a chance to buy a cheaper ticket. How thoughtful am I? ;D ;D

Very clever that Pugsley, expecially if (as I expect) officials from the club moniter this messageboard.

Its morally right that if you pledge then you buy one, If you dont then you dont buy one. Its morally right.

For £199 you have to buy one, you could miss 50% of the games and still be better off.
Cheers Bread.

Errrrm Pugsley, no I don't think that everyone pledging will get a season ticket.
But neither do I expect these people to come onto a messageboard monitered by the club and tell the world of their cunning plan.
Jesus wept.

hopefully the number of people pledging who don't buy one will be offset by those who don't pledge but get one anyway once they see the cheaper prices are for real. I should think that will be likely anyway.

Are SCFC officials so thick (like you seem to be) that they only realise that some pledgers will not buy the ticket by looking on this site. They obviously have some kind of buffer in the 8500. If they told you your arse was on fire would you believe them?

I think that for a club of our supposed size, if we can't reach 8,500 pledges then it's pretty sad and we don't really deserve anything better from the club.

If the club don't get the 8500 GENUINE pledges to buy season tickets, other fans WON'T get that price. If they get 8500 pledges, fans will get the cheaper price - that's the deal. The club will only know if the pledge IS genuine when the ticket is bought. Like I say - the club must have a buffer/tolerance built in the 8500.

No matter which way you look at it, pledging when you have no intention of buying a ticket is a twattish thing to do. It lacks integrity, honesty and plain decency.
If all the dishonest people were removed, the world would be a much better place.

Fucking hell, aren't one or two people getting a bit carried away on the old moral rectitude front?
Everyone lies. Particularly, you might have noticed, people in and around football clubs. Get over it.
