I've noticed when shopping in Hanley you see more Liverpool Glory Hunters than Man Utd, it did surprise me cause I thought it would've been the other way round.

I always remember being shocked in my more innocent days when I discovered that at least two of the Liverpool 'fans' implicated in the ruckus that led to the Heysel disaster were born and bred Stokies.

When 'I were a lad' Liverpool were the gloryhunters choice. Fcukin Candy shirts everywhere. I remember having the piss taken out of me in the playground for being a Stoke fan.
I was shocked seeing as we were in a school in Stoke on Trent and they were all from the potteries - bunch of w****rs!!

LFC = the original gloryhunters How true. Over here in the colonies they are a dime a dozen. Can't name three players on the team but they "luv 'em" ...

Liverpool were THE gloryhunting vehicle for around 20 years - and since then some of them will unfortunatley have bred (no accounting for some women's tastes) so the problem has probably been passed on a generation.

Liverpool were THE gloryhunting vehicle for around 20 years They certainly were, although I would say that Man Utd have consistently had the edge over time when it comes to turning the heads of immature and spineless residents of N Staffs (and beyond). It is hard to believe now just how dominant Liverpool were at that time, and even harder to believe that that success dried up. if you had suggested back in 1990 that Man Utd would overtake their championship record, you would have been sectioned.
