They are desperate for a centre half, I don't know if collins is the answer for them though.

Could see this happen. Like you say, he'd do a pretty decent job in the Championship.

Agent Sonko and Collins at the back potentially.

Collins is a good CB and would do very well for Ipswich.

Be good to get him off the wage bill, think he'll do a good job for ipswich, not done enough to justify a place in the 25 at stoke

All the best to the bloke if he moves. If he finds his level at Ipswich then he'll be appreciated a lot more then he is around here that's for sure.

Never good enough for Stoke City
one of Tony Pulis's poorest signings (IMHO)
'jog on' to Ipswich

Adding Collins out sonko to their defensive ranks is not going to help them! Thats a bit harsh, Sonko is a cracking center half at Championship level. Reading strormed the league with him at the back remember.

www.thisisnottingham.co.uk/Forest-face-rivalry-Ipswich-chase-Stoke-defender/story-13295826-detail/story.html?NOTTINGHAM Forest have stepped up their efforts to land Stoke City defender Danny Collins on loan. But the Reds face serious competition for his signature from Championship rivals Ipswich.
Forest failed to complete a deal to land the versatile Welsh international on a permanent deal last month, after agreeing a fee for the former Chester and Sunderland player.
But the Potters are happy for Collins to depart on loan, after leaving him out of their 25-man Premier League squad.
And it may boil down to who is prepared to pay the biggest slice of Collins' wages, which are thought to be in excess of £30k a week.
Stoke are looking for around half that amount to be paid.

Thirty fecking grand a week!!!!!!
We've got players who must therefore be entitled to about 250k a week working on the formula that worked out his salary.
Jesus wept.

So Danny Collins is on ten times the salary of the Prime Minister. This all seems perfectly reasonable to me

Anyone who had a fucking hand in negotiating Collins contract if true that he is on 30K a week needs fucking sacking now!
