Upper - rather than lower - mid table would be ace
If we make it through the group stage, then who knows, ke? ... Nasty group and no mangerial experience of the competition, euro football or keeping things going in the league while also playing in europe
massive season for our-Tone

Highest I think we can finish, given that we also have Europe, is 8th. I would take 10th and knockout stages of the Europa.

Difficult to say. However for the first time since we came up nobody will be thinking relegation is a possibility. I would be happy to be safe early and have the opportunity to try and get some fringe players involved

Good football of course in all competitions, but I want the media to present a fairer and more balanced view of Stoke City giving the club some much deserved respect.

I'm still waiting to see a picture of Palacios with his Stoke shirt!
he's the only player that hasn't really featured in any of the interviews!

Should offload Fuller, Sidibe & possibly one or two fringe players (Midfielders not being used) by January and replace with Gyan (who's pissed with Bruce) and Tim Cahill (Everton will need more money by then). Crouch can play a deeper role if need be.

Expectations?
Well, it's still going to be a tough season but I'm confident now it's one we can cope with.
Top 10 in the league. Europa last 16. FA Cup quarter final.
Ok, maybe I'm being a little greedy! ;D

It'd be nice to win 15 games this season.
Give a good account of ourselves in the Europa league. See Marshall and Shotton play an increased role in the first team and Cuvelier enter the equation towards the end of the season.
Primarily though, not to go down. That happens and we're still moving forward.

Top 6. Win Europa League.
Anything less and we have fallen short.

8th-13th is a good season, would like to see us get top half. Hopefully get through a difficult group in Europe, A good domestic cup run and giving some youngsters a run out.
Survival is again a priority but I do think there are many worse teams in the league than us.

Expectations are not allowed by Stoke City fans.
This is on the orders of Tony Pulis and enforced to the letter by his thought police.

Higher in the table than last season. Making the knock out stages of Europa.
On a side note, if we can get through our Carling Cup game with Spurs then get a favourable draw in the next round (say at home to a Championship team) where we can afford to play a shadow side, we could be in the quarter finals of the league cup having not stretched our squad too far. It's certainly a competition thats far from impossible to win.

I would willingly trade a few places in the league to keep our Europa Cup run going. I couldn't give a toss whether we finish 8th or 15th it means very little other than money. I am encouraged that Tone seems to be upbeat about what Europe means to the supporters and he is right. Expectations havent increased dramatically...same as last year would be fantastic

Always seems to be a fine line between finishing lets say 7/8th and 13th/14th, Ideally a top half finish with the signings we have

8th in the Prem, a cup semi final and the knockout stages of the Europa would be fantastic. Any one of those would be a good season - providing, of course, that we stay up.

I think barring injuries , we are one of those clubs that could win the Europa Cup.
Stoke are ready for Europe , but is Europe ready for Stoke..? an al' that.
League wise ....I would settle for 7th or eigth spot.

I don't know about the cup. I hope we could make the quarters.
As for the league, that's interesting. I can't see us doing better than 7th and I would be surprised if we did worse than 12th. I think it's chunked up as follows:
1-6: Manu | Man C | Chelsea | L'pool | Arsenal | Spurs
7 - 12: Stoke | S'Land | Villa | Newcastle | Bolton | Fulham
13 - 16: Wolves | QPR | WBA | Everton
17 - 20: Swansea | Norwich | Blackburn | Wigan

There is a difference between hopes and expectations. What do you EXPECT the club to achieve this season?
I EXPECT a mid table finish minimum, to play more of the football that served us well post WBA at home alst season and have a good run in either the FA or Europa League.
You could argue that the Europa League one has been met.

You could argue that the Europa League one has been met. +1 (Except that I expect us to make the second group stages in Europe, now that the squad has a bit of strength in depth) If we can be as entertaining as we were in the last couple of months of last season, and not surrender any of our competitiveness in the process, that will represent real progress.
