Tough one. Definitely got a bit of an attitude, but still think he will go somewhere and score a fucking bucket load of goals. Nowhere near as bad a player as he has got the rep for being.

Not at all, I think he'd have been great for us - but not worth breaking the wage structure for. Maybe we could try again for him in January.

Getting him on loan like Blunderland would of hardly been taking a bullet.

The only thing in his favour over crouch is his age

Would have been happy with either, Crouch more proven, bendtner more potential.

I'm delighted we rather got Crouch to be honest he really is a Pulis wet dream and I think we will fit into our system perfectly.

SCFC has an ethos of selfless hard work.
Bendtner would adopt to that about as well as Mr Blobby and Kitson did.
A ticking time bomb dodged.

Having Crouch gives every one of our players a better look for England, those being mainly Woodgate, Shawcross and Etherington. It's all about selling the club, and having Crouch here tells players of that caliber that they can come here and play. If I remember correctly Palacios signed and knew Crouch was coming as well.
His signing will help us over the next 4 windows, can't put a price tag on that.

Bendtner really doesn't appear to have the right attitude for TP - what did he declare "I am one of the best strikers in the world" and "I deserve my 50k per week wages" . . . I really am surprised TP even entertained the idea purely based on these comments!

But let's not blast Bendtner, I'd be happy to have a player of his quality on my side. I do worry that Sunderland partnering him with Gyan, whose relationship with Bruce is already strained, might be an interesting recipe going forward.
