According to ssn were after camerone jerome again, we were linked with him months ago and nothing happened so we started looking towards crouch, whats jerome done for brum this season to warrant another look for 4 million. Try getting maynard tone, he may not be the answer but he scores for fun wherever he plays

Whats Crouch done for Spurs this season to warrant 10/11 million??
Perhaps i'm in the minority but i'd prefer Jerome over Crouch.

I wouldn't mind CJ.
I lot of the players we're linked with (Crouch, SWP, Bellamy, Cole, Hargreaves, Parker, etc) are around the 30 yr old mark, as are the players in the squad. We need some young players with fresh legs in the side that won't need replacing in the next 2 seasons.
For 3.5m CJs a good signing IMO.

I don't think Jerome and Dann have been playing this season pending transfers? But, 'Our Tone' often keeps chasing the same player because if he decides he wants him then he doesn't give up? I think if KJ plays deep and then CJ's pace will come into its own?

I thought that until last weekend Jerome has been injured?? If we can get him for £4m(probably with add on's) and a reasonble salary I think he'd be excellent for us!

However, i wouldn't be surprised if we manage to get that down to 14m. Spurs would be stupid to turn down 8m for Crouch as the only alternative is to keep him on the bench (while Adebayor plays) and pay him 60k per week for a season. In the end losing out on 8m for the transfer and a further 3.1m in wages. +8m or -3.1m. There's an 11m difference right there.

For Cameron Jerome read Martin Carruthers, do we really need another goal shy striker who will work arrd for the team and produce very little in terms of goals. We need better than this in my opinion.

The longer that TP waits the cheaper the Brum players are! For what Dann was going to be sold for the other month we could now get Dann,Jerome and Ridgewell. And if TP is that good at getting a deal, i bet he could get clubcard points too for the lot

I am with you on that Fenton. I also prefer Jerome or/and Rodellega to Bednter.

Jerome would be another great signing, especially for £3.5 to £4M. No wonder Brum fans think he's shit. David Villa would struggle upfront on his own for them under Big Eck's system.
Good age, potential re-sale value, and PACE!!!! I think we could really use some pace down the channels, and he would give us this. I also think he's a tidy finisher.

For under £4 million I can't see it being anything but a good bit of business.

For under £4 million I can't see it being anything but a good bit of business. Yep agreed, Brum were asking silly money earlier in the window and Stoke as usual have waited until the talking is on sensible terms. Of course its all supposition at the moment, but if we get him for a decent price it will be a good deal. I think he will be good for us, his pace is exactly what we need.

The only reason Jerome didn't sign - £££ With the end of the window closing in, his wage demands would have dropped. So now the deal would suit Stoke City and not just Cameron Jerome
