They don't and no. We had some rather overpriced alkoholfrei stuff in Thun last week to make up for it.

The closest you will get to any alcohol is to admire The Marston's Pedigree Stand at half time.

UEFA rules. It only applies to the ground, so Harvester, Power League etc should be OK. At the Split away game, either it was alcohol-free or they were breaking the rules. Didn't try it myself, so don't know the answer to that. If Stoke were serving alcohol in the corporate areas for the Split home game, it was technically a breach of the rule.

Are you sure they don't get round it buy selling it as a package and throwing the beer in for free as technically on the night he never paid for it?

Yeah, few of my mates were lapping up the free beers and magners all night!

They do serve Ale in the hospitality areas. As mentioned above they get around it by giving the ale away for free.
However you obviously pay more than £15 for a ticket.
Loophole.

Yes they can serve alcohol but can't sell it. so they bump up the admission price to cover it.

I don't agree with the ban on alcohol but if UEFA want one then it seems stupid to word the rule so that it is BUYING the alcohol which is prohibited rather than CONSUMING it. I'm not a heavy drinker and haven't been drunk for years - but in my younger days I was just as capable of getting drunk and disorderly on free beer as I was on beer that I paid for. ;D

That is actually printed on the corporate tickets, alongside a picture of a smiling Tony Scholes; thumbs aloft.
