Alright chaps and chapesses,
Possibly going with the missus for a week, has anyone been here? Can they recommend a hotel, restaurant, places of interest or activities (apart from the obvious)?
Have never been Turkey, but I'll take me shirt and appreciate all the "Tuncay, Tuncay" shouts I'm sure.
Any help is much appreciated.

I went last year, nice place, very hot.
I can't quite remember the names of places at the min, but il get back to you later when I've refreshed my memory.
One thing though, most of them didnt like tuncay, they all hated fenerbache. Though they always shout Stoke coy, stoke city, when they see the top.
I'd take a night out up to hissarnou. Just up the hill, It's cooler up there and there's loads and loads of bars. A bit cheaper if I remember rightly too.
It can get very very hot, one day it did reach 50 c , at midday, the Turks stop inside, coz they aren't as stupid as us lot.

been going to Hisonaru just up the road for last 5 years and going again in September. OluDeniz is brilliant with great beach. Go just around the bay about 10 minutes walk to Sugar Beach coplex for total chill out day with swimming in the blue lagoon with live music on a Sunday afternoon. Goood restaurants in Olu Deniz are Harrys Bar, Toscana beach, Swallows which has ATA's hotel next door. You will see the paragliding and there are pedaloes etc. and some decent boat trips from Olu Deniz. up the road in Hisonaru there are more bars nd restaurants with Kafkas down the bottom end, Costellos but look on Tripadvisor for other peoples comments at both resorts.
Hisonaru has a market on a Monday but Fethiye an even bigger one on a Tuesday which is a must do but offer half what they ask and go on from there if you want to buy anything.
If you like fish the Fish Market in Fethiye is a must where you can pick your own fresh fish and the restaurants surrounding will cook it for you and provide salad, rice, bread, wine etc. and has a fantastic atmosphere.
Also go to Kings Gardens in Fethiye which is by the ancient tombs which you can visit during your meal and the restaurant has magnificent views. If you ring them they will fetch you and take you back free. Also a must is Levissi restaurant at the Ghost Town who will also fetch you and take you back free. Also interesting to visit the Ghost Town during the day if you like historical stuff.
There is a water park in Ovacik just up the road from Hisonaru but you will see plenty of trips you can go on.
You'll have agreat time Enjoy!!

went a couple of years ago in a all inclusive resort Lykia World. I would recommend it as a family type hotel (although there will be loads of kids around), food very good (good choice of restaurants) and they own a stretch of the beach so you have a choice of sea + infinfiy pools etc. There is a beautiful bar as part of the resort down by the beach, and you can look across the beach when the sun is setting between 2 mountains - stunning! Word of warning - although they aren't in Eurozone, they bloody charge everything in euros! www.lykiagroup.co.uk/index_lwo.htm

Had a truly excellent time. Paragliding was the highlight, as was the very warm sea! Low-light was paying £10 for shisha when I am used to paying £2 in the UAE.
Thanks for all your help Oatcake Gurus!

I stayed at Hisaronu about 3 years ago and it was lovely. Visited Oludeniz a few times in the day and evenings and its brilliant. At night they have bean bags on the beach and you can sit there drinking on the beach, its class!
