Disapointed with him today. Distribution was poor and every headed clearance went to opposition.

His headed distribution was poor agree.I think he is the one at risk in the CB pairing .Huth played with Woodgate at Boro and it was a pairing they were keen on but both were crocked a lot . Shawcross also still looks like he can get bullied at times.

Had his hands full with Torres today, but thought he did ok especially after a very early yellow card!

You havin a giraffe. He was great today. Woodgate is nowhere near full fitness so Ryan was doing all the running. He had a great game. How many fifty yard headers have you ever played to feet? I'd rather he smacks it as far away from danger as poss.

I'd rather he smacks it as far away from danger as poss. That's the point he didn't, kept knocking them aimlessly which gave possession away.

Part of a back four that kept a clean sheet against a £100M forward line.
End of.

Woodgate - looked not fully fit, but you can tell he is pure quality
Shawcross - Could be sharper, but that will come with games. Had a lot to handle, he won't get bigger tests really than torres, drogba, anelka etc
Huth - Seems brilliant wherever we play him , the guys a machine.

Agree with Davef and thought he was very solid today, made some outstanding tackles and won everything in the air.

Tonight on here we've now had posters slag off Jones,Walters,Whitehead,Whelan,Wilson and now Shawcross, i really do wonder what some folk watch and imo EVERYONE of our players deserve nothing but praise after the effort they put in today and the clean sheet we kept

Torres looked immense and against a lesser back four probably got two or three ! Think Ryan stuck to his task well and was the main reason (although a little fortunate) he didn't , thought he had a good game myself !

Muttley - some stoke 'fans' just love to moan, 1 shot on target, didnt man utd have 1 shot on target until the 60th minute or something, won 2-1, we had 1 shot on target, drew 0-0. Torres was kept as quiet as possible all game, ryan also made sure anything coming past huth was stopped straight away, a very solid perfomance against a fantastic team

Part of a back four that kept a clean sheet against a £100M forward line. End of. I agree. Reduced a £111,000,000 attacking quintet to the sole tactic getting into the box and falling over. They couldn't find a way to break us down. His challenge on Torres in the box in the first half was first class and was highlighted on Match of the Day 2. I thought both he and Woodgate completely outshone John Terry at the other end and that our 'back 8' were exceptionally solid as a unit.
