J.Cole, Crouch, Bendtner come one, lets be realistic here and remember who we are and where we are.
Players like Jerome and C.Cole would be an improvement to what we have & are actually realistic.
Some people on here are going to be very disappointed come 1st September.

I think Bendtner + palacios will still sign. I dont think either will - Wages SGS Well Bendtner has already agreed terms with the club he is supposedly going to, so if it is us then obviously wages are sorted

We are Stoke and we will sign who we want I think that's half right, Mr Dorset. "We are Stoke, and we'll sign who we can get" would be an alternative view.

I for one have no idea who we'll end up with. Not sure Pulis does, either.

If we cant agree terms with CC and CJ we will need a major shift in our wage structure for Crouch , Bendtner etc........... but i live in hope .

Always been the way at Stoke, and probably the same for every other club in the country. You spend the summer hoping slightly unrealistic signings will end up joining despite everything pointing to the fact that they won't.
A few years ago we were desperately hoping the likes of Damien Francis and Rob Hulse would join us.
I remember spending the whole summer clinging to the hope Macari was going to sign Bob Taylor from West Brom based on a rumour my uncle heard at work.
And if the internet had been around that pre-season Mick Mills was chasing after Kevin Moran, I think Stoke fans would have caused it to implode.
In truth, the best signings for a club like Stoke tend to be the ones nobody sees coming, that seem a little underwhelming at the time.
Jon Walters is the most obvious recent example, but go back over the past few seasons and there was very little fanfare before any of these signings:
Ab Faye Shawcross Fuller Higginbotham (first time round) Begovic Huth Etherington Pennant Delap
Let's just relax.

in what world does Cameron Jerome and Carlton Cole improve our team In the way that both, on paper at least, fit into how we play, in that one brings fairly consistent double figures in goals every season and the other brings some much needed pace to the team. Both fit in more obviously than Crouch does. We only have two fit strikers for the foreseeable future! There are better strikers out there for sure but I wouldn't be unhappy if we signed at least Jerome - Cole's clear reluctance to leave London (maybe that's changed ) could be a problem though.

We haven't agreed terms with Carlton Cole and Jerome because we don't think they're worth the wages they want. There are players who we value higher in wage terms. I reckon Joe Cole is a possible signing...
