Plenty of empty seats in that upper tier in the Man City end!!
I assume that the community shield is now somewhat below them. great opportunity for those missing out on the semi and final to go to wembley

I really wouldn't have been surprised, if Richards had got a straight red there - it was a terrible tackle.

I've just turned over from the West Ham game.
Is it me, or is 'Sir' Alex Ferguson playing the Tony Pulis copyright square pegs in round holes game?

Makes me sick that people think Man City can play football, there SOOOOOOOOO boring to watch , and they persistently foul But the headline will still be ... 'Footballing Gods Manchester City loose to Stoke Thugs'

'Footballing Gods Manchester City loose to Stoke Thugs' I think journalists might have spell checker, though. I actually thought at the start of last season they were playing well. Good goal, that.

Thought the keeper could have done better for both those goals, certainly the 2nd, very poor.
How much did they pay for him?

This game means fuck all to anyone and even though one side of Manchester will have the bragging rights it doesn't mean an awful lot, except for De Gea. As a new big money keeper brought in to replace Van Der Sar, who was excellent, he needed a nice easy 1st game to help him settle in and get his confidence high but he's had a nightmare. To blame him for the 1st is slightly harsh in that he could have done better but it was a brilliant delivery but he was atrocious for the second, decent strike but be seen it all the way.

Can Gary Neville get a really bad throat injury that prevents him from ever talking on our tellies ever again?

A great goal by Naani. Unfortunately Young will prove to be a great signing for them.

Its a real shame Micah Richards seems to be first choice right back at Man City now....would absolutely love him at Stoke.
