I wouldn't have Jimmy 'Pin Head' Floyd Hasselbaink in there - Fowler would be a better shout.
I'd also go with Andrew Cole ahead of Owen.

Sol Campbell at his best was streets ahead of John Terry imo.

Why is Gary Speed there ? He fully deserves to be there in my opinion. Played over 500 games across the Premier League at 4 different clubs, and he was consistantly good everywhere he went. He scored over 100 Premier League goals too which not too many midfielders have.

Cech and Petit were very nearly included, I just tried to take length of time they've played in the Premier League in to account too. Wise, Speed and Batty have all played 300+ games in the Premier League, whereas Petit only played 150 games. It's all about opinions I suppose, Petit and Cech would probably make alot of peoples shortlists. Cech would surely be there in place of de Goey though? Possibly, I'll consider changing that one.

Did Gazza play in the Premier League?
If so would definitely have him as a midfield option.

Did Gazza play in the Premier League? If so would definitely have him as a midfield option. He did, but I've based the shortlists on what they did in the Premier League, not what they've done over their whole career. Gazza didn't actually play in the Premier League until 1998 and he was never the same player at Middlesbrough and Everton as he was at Newcastle and Tottenham. EDIT: I've been persuaded to swap Ed de Goey for Petr Cech though.
