OK, I know there's not gonna be much interest on here but it's a local for me.
There's no info on the Stoke site, on the Aldershot site info for home fans only it seems.
Does anyone know if I can just tip up and pay on the day or if they're even gonna bother having an 'away' end?
Thought I'd ask on here before I start phoning round

I think it will be pay on the day and probably the usual away end they have for their league games I would not of thought there will be any special measures for us. both my daughter and myself are going to this game to close to miss

Me and the lad will be there, Shiny - only 12 miles from home... As Farnboro' says probably pay on the gate PS. And at Brentford the night before... ;D

Don't know Musik
On the info at the Aldershot site it says it's a 'first team' match so should get to see some reasonable footy
"The Shots face their toughest test three days later [on Saturday 23rd July], when Tony Pulis brings FA Cup Finalists Stoke City to the south for a mouth-watering tie against Premiership opposition. After embarking on a summer camp in Austria Pulis' men return to the United Kingdom. The Potteries club have confirmed on their official website that the visit to the EBB Stadium will be a first team fixture. It will also be their last fixture before they make their debut in the Europa League qualifying round the following Thursday"

As the Brentford friendly is the day before I reckon it will be 45 min run out for the first team in both of these matches.
You will be able to pay on the gate, but have to enter at the top of Redan Road. Nice little old school ground is Aldershot, great to still have the terraces and can create a decent atmosphere.
And yes I will be there, 5 min walk from my house!

Farnboro - Yes the away entrance is at the top of Redan Road, although I guess it will depend how many away supporters will turn up. They dont always have segregation for friendly matches from memory.
Shiny/Farnboro - Free parking down the residential streets at the top of Redan Road...Holly Road in particular down past the La Fontaine pub. Much closer than parking in town or at Tesco.

As mentioned on the other thread the Crimea pub is the best to head to that is local, directly opposite the ground. Steer clear of La Fontaine at the top of Redan Road, opposite the away fans entrance.
The station is a 5 min walk from the ground. Basically you go straight out of the station entrance, past old people apartments on the right, road swings round to the right, past the church, then staright on...you can see the floodlights.

Coincidentally I drove past Basingstoke's ground (the Camrose) this morning and they are advertising a game against Aldershot XI (ie the B team) for tomorrow!

Aldershot, Am I gonna be alright taking the little un (8) in the Crimea ? Kids allowed ? Be alright in colours? You should be fine in there mate. Kids/Kits are allowed and always a good atmosphere. Its been done up recently, so dont know if the policy has changed, but i doubt it to be honest. Its always been prime location for the football. I may very well be in there before kick off myself, i'll give you an eh up

Given the line up at Brentford tonight, I'll be slightly disappointed if we get Diao, Soares, Pugh, Tonge etc starting tomorrow! Looks like Woody will get a run out though
