Rumoured to be in talks with Liverpool. Anybody know how much the agreed bid was? Personally i think he's a floater, plying his wares from free kicks and penalties and can be a dirty little twat...raw talent! Can't see him blending with the beautiful 'we deserve top 4' scousers myself Thoughts? And i'm glad we haven't tried to bid for him....waste of time imho

9 million quid he was available for.
Cracking player and would have loved to have seen him in a Stoke shirt.

He splits opinion, but he does have one hell of a free kick in him

Charlie Adam is a good player, but David Vaughan is a better player and he's available on a free.

I think that Adams will prove to be a one season wounder

LFC don't really release bid and contract length details, so we'll have to sort of guess. Dalglish did say his corners are worth £10million though, so probably £10m and 25 pence

Just how many midfielders do Liverpool want?
Gerrard Lucas Mereiles Henderson Adam Spearing Poulsen Shelvey Aquilani
i reckon this makes Aquilani, Poulsen and one of Mereiles/Lucas available....unfortunately i think Poulsen would be the only one remotely interested in playing for stoke.

Personally feel like he may be one of those players who does well with a newly promoted club but can't make the transition to a regular in the premier league.
Agree with sufolkstokie though, brilliant at set pieces.

OK, he's handy at a dead ball situation and can (when he feels like it) put himself about a bit but, from what I saw last season he spends long periods of games not really involved.
He only 'stood out' because he was playing in a distinctly average team (and that's not me having a go at Blackpool).
Personally I think he'll struggle to hold down a regular place in the Liverpool team!!

Do Liverpool see something in him, as did old floppy chops - so fair dues to the lad for making a name for himself

He was involved in 21 Premiership goals for a relegated side last season whether it be a direct assist or scoring himself. Fair enough he takes free kicks and penalties but the most important thing is turning opportunities like these into goals.
Vaughan's a great player too but completely different to Adam. The reason they did so well in the first half of last season came from these two complementing each other in midfield.
Interesting to see how Dalglish will end up deploying him at Anfield
