Wigan were a very skilled side. Shame they spoiled it by diving all over the place, there was no need, they have the skill without that.
A draw was a fair result. The first 20 minutes we were truly awful and I expected a thrashing to be honest. Then we pulled our socks up and got on with the job. Midway through the second half I thought, hey we could swing this, and I was mindful that we didn't really deserve that overall but how great it would have been.
The Wigan fans....at last a team brings a half-decently sized and half-vocal away following to the Brit. Loved it when they tried to shout down our Delilah, which just got louder and louder. Love to hear that, every time. Great stuff.
The ref....a bit like ourselves, I thought he started off terrible and improved as the game went on.
Hoekstra is wonderful. It's almost worth paying the match price to see him. He's my favourite player of the moment.
Disappointing to see Gifton ignored the standing ovation some of the John Smiths (myself included) gave him....compare that with Hooky who ALWAYS takes time to acknowledge the fans. I'm a great fan of Gifton and admire his abilities, but please don't sulk eh Gift....
And a word for Cutler. We simply cannot afford to lose him, though I fear he will. He's a far better keeper than he's given credit for.

Couple of points
1. Gifton is obviously in severe pain with his Arthritis. Just wants to get treatment a.s.a.p so perhaps we should cut him some slack. 2. Cutz is a great shot stopper but today he could have been more positive on crosses and, who knows, we might just have nicked it.
sod it, a third one, the referee was absolute pants throughout - how did Bullard stay on the park? How come we get 3 yellows when only Clarke deserved one, and he got away with it ???

Mr Scrote
we were awful for the whole of the first half and our goal came completely against the run of play, they really should of been 3 or 4 up at half time with the amount of possession they had, they just didnt have the players to put the ball in the net, Second half we played some good footy and had a lot more possession but came unstuck when defending on the edge of our 6 yard box and not on the 18, whenever we thumped the ball upfield they just came back at us. To look at it from a neutral angle (as a referee) we robbed them of two points, but who cares ;D
Referee, two ways of looking at this, one from a supporters view and one from a referees points, I agree from your view that he got better as the game went on, but the first 20 minutes or so he was pulling everything up to try and stop it from boiling over and did make a few 'weird' decisions, but the second half he tried as much as possible to play the advantage, regardin russells booking he was spot on as Darell went through the player to get the ball, but we got lucky when Clarkey should really have been cautioned.
As is well highlighted, we do have players with fitness/ injuries who were out there today so I for one am well happy we got a point, we only have to remember back to last year when in a game like today's we would of been slaughtered Forest style.
I spoke to John Eustace at about 12.30 and even he was unsure whether he would play or not because of his back, so obviously had treatment before the game, Willo is unfit fullstop, Gifted as we all know has problems, Hooky if you didnt notice had a dodgy ankle, and Clint is only just coming back as well.
Common sense always tells people that you never make subs at a corner, the goal came directly after we had taken off clarkey (injury) and put Clint on.
But still, a point gained rather than two dropped, so i think everyone should be happy

Rex,
As a Ref yourself - why didn't that cheating cunt Roberts get booked when he threw himself over in the area with no Stoke player within 2 yards?
