I've bought a Subaru Forester for Mrs BarkerOut!, and I want to take it to a local (not main dealer) Subaru specialist. Can anyone recommend one?
Cheers.

Presume you are looking in SOT area? Quick google search tells me Holdcroft are Subaru approved on Leek Road. Even linked on the official Subaru UK website - subaru.co.uk/dealer-locator/603/

Correct on the location, but wrong answer because they are a main dealer. Holdcroft are too expensive in general, and I want to deal with the guy that actually does the work rather than a service manager. Thanks all the same.

Mark, the Service Manager at Holdcroft Subaru, is brilliant at explaining what's being done, nothing is too much trouble for him. Best garage I've ever used, worth the extra money to use mainstream dealer for peace of mind to know not being fleeced!
On my 3rd Forester - excellent cars.

I've not had good experieces with Holdcroft (Renault, Mazda, Honda and Subaru) and I think it's mainly down to the fact that they have had a bit of a monopoly in Stoke. I've had Subarus before - Imprezas and a Legacy diesel, and Holdcroft have never gone the extra mile for me. With the exception of the Legacy, I've found other garages to service my cars, and I've always had better service with independent garages.
The people I've used in the past have either left the area or have packed in completely, so I may have to use the main dealer as I don't want to use a non specialist back street garage. There are plenty of Imprezas running around the city, so I guess there must be a specialist knocking about somewhere?

I spotted that one on google too, problem is, they "specialise" in every other make of car too and they can't even spell Subaru correctly. Thanks for the effort though
