Not another joke that's gone over your head. I thought you might've learned something after the whole Kanu episode.

Now Lass... what a player that is. Hard as nails, tiny fucker but can he ping a ball around. Complete midfielder. Bit like Deano.

I'm sure that Lassana is the better player, but what on Earth does that have to do with anything? ;D
For what it's worth, this would be a fantastic signing for us.

It has to do with the fact that I think he's the TYPE of player we should be going for. Tough tackling but great distribution. A real commanding presence in the middle of the park. Bit like the other fella from Villareal. My cocern is we seem to be looking at players who are tough and physical but can't play football.

I'm sure you don't get a century of games for Real Madrid if you're only able to kick people and can't pass the ball. Lassana is probably way, way, way out of our league.

Great player, would love him here.

M. or L. Diarra would be good and a welcome step forward. I've a sneaky suspicion that an MOR journeyman like Craig Gardner is more likely than either though. Hope I'm wrong.

is this the same Lassana Diarra who has been linked with Man united? whose first words to his new team mates at Portsmouth was he was only there until a big club came in for him?

This is Mahamadou Diarra, 30 year old defensive mid of Lyon, Real Madrid and Monaco.. That was Lassana Diarra, 26 year old defensive mid of Chelsea, Arsenal, Pompey and Real Madrid..

You can guarantee from the confusion here that if we signed him half of the board would think it was lassana. They're both internationals and played for real. Even the one who's supposedly worse would be a standout player for us.

Ah...not the good Diarra then. That would be Lassana Diarra. Not the better Diarra, no. But he's still better than anything we have in centre midfield. I'm better than anything we currently have in centre midfield.

This is true, despite the cries from the Delap fetishists.

The idea of seeing Delap start the first home game of the season against Chelsea is a horrible, terrifying and quite depressing thought.
