Where are Aberdeen going to get £38,000,000 from? Alex Salmond will give them the money in return for independence votes: Free prescriptions Free university places free football stadiums free drink He'll keep making things free until our hideous, pasty-faced ginger neighbours vote the way he wants.

It'll never work, they should leave 3 of the corners open. They would win far more games with the stadium like that!

What is it with these clowns? Can they not design a Stadium without some stupid office block in the corner? Are they incapable of grasping the simple concept of digging soil to create space for offices and changing rooms underneath stands? ;D

Slightly geeky but bear with me.... £38,000,000 for 21,000 seats means a cost per seat of £1809 The Brit supposedly cost about £16,000,000 for 28k seats so a cost of £571 per seat
How does a small club in a tinpot league justify spending so much when you can clearly do it in a far more value for money way? I'd rather spend more on the team.
Suppose they must be fuckin comfy seats.....

I think the Brit was nearer £12m mate (could be wrong). Either way we got a great deal considering it can be expanded easily and what a great stand the main stand is.

The Brit was built on the cheap and it looks like it. Its a skeleton of a stadium which needs some flesh adding to it. The concourses are shit, and the access is crap. The only thing that makes the Brit good are the good folk that fill it every two weeks. It is without any question the worst of the major "new" stadiums.

It'll never fucking happen, unless they're going in to beastiality porn using the Aberdonian sheep they'll never get the money for a stadium like that. Who's going to pay for it? If they had that much money then why have they got a fucking shite squad? Daft fucking Aberdonians don't know their ear from their arsehole.
Fucking moronic tools!

When i used to work at Aberdeen Uni I lived just round the corner from Pittodrie. If you think the Brit is cold in January you ought to take in a fixture there any time of the year: deliberately positioned so the North Sea wind howls in. Like the fucking bowels of hell on Boxing Day it is. Aberdeen is a very rich town because of all the oil money. It also has a lot of money because of the enormous smack trade. Perhaps some of this is getting ploughed into a club who attract and average gate of about 7500, eh?

Sounds like a wee bit of sour grapes there mate.
Taking into consideration the revenue from the sale of 100+ luxury flats (guaranteed planning consent) at approx between 150k and 250k per unit, then that's a fair chunk of the cash.
Add to that the fact that the chairman is one of the biggest home builders in Scotland as well as the community stadium aspect, it really isn't that daft.
Pittodrie is crumbling, like most Scottish stadia to be fair. The only way to tap into the potential value of the land is a new build.
Hope that clears things up.

It looks like a very, very nice stadium! Whoever designed (and accepted the proposed design) of The Brit should be locked up for lifetime. We ended up with a pretty poor stadium compared to other clubs.
